Tracker: DigiBooster 3.1
Pressemitteilung: DigiBooster 3.1 wurde für AmigaOS 3.x, AmigaOS 4 sowie MorphOS veröffentlicht und ist auf CD sowie als Download-Version im Online-Shop von APC&TCP erhätlich.
DigiBooster 3.1 vereint die traditionelle Art des Musikmachens mittels Tracker mit einer fortschrittlichen Audio-Engine und einer modernen MUI-Oberfläche. Es ist vollständig zu seinem Vorgänger DigiBooster Pro 2 kompatibel. Das Programm wurde jedoch von Grund auf neu entwickelt. Das neue modulare Design ermöglicht die rasche Weiterentwicklung für die Zukunft. Neben einer Version für Classic-Amigas wurden außerdem Versionen für PowerPC-Prozessoren kompiliert, um die Vorteile der höheren Rechenleistung ausnutzen zu können.
Die wesentlichen neuen Features in DigiBooster 3.1:
- Import von ProTracker-Modulen: DigiBooster 3.1 kann sowohl die klassischen 4-Spur-Module als auch mehrspurige Module mit bis zu 32 Kanälen laden und abspielen. Die Importqualität ist signifikant besser als bei DigiBooster Pro 2.x
- Automatisches Speichern: DigiBooster 3.1 kann in frei wählbaren Zeitabständen eine frei bestimmbare Anzahl von Modul-Backups speichern, inkl. Autorotation
- Blockoperationen im Pattern-Editor vervollständigt: DigiBooster 3.1 unterstützt nun das gleichzeitige, mehrspurige Bearbeiten von Pattern-Bereichen, auch mittels ARexx-Interface
- Neue ARexx-Befehle für das Laden/Importieren von Modulen sowie die Wiedergabe
- Mehr unterstützte Sprachen: Die Programmoberfläche ist nun neben Deutsch und Englisch auch auf französisch und polnisch verfügbar
Wie erhält man ein Update auf die Version 3.1? Das Update von der Version 3.0 auf 3.1 ist kostenlos! Ein Update von älteren Versionen (zum Beispiel DigiBooster Pro 2.x) ist nicht möglich.
Anwender, die bei uns die Download-Version gekauft haben, loggen sich einfach in unseren Online-Shop ein und laden nochmals die Vollversion von DigiBooster 3.
Anwender, die eine CD-Version von DigiBooster 3.0 erhalten haben, schreiben einfach eine E-Mail mit folgenden Angaben an info@apc-tcp.de:
- Registriernummer (nicht die Seriennummer)
- Komplette Postanschrift
- E-Mail-Adresse (das Archiv ist etwa 3 MB groß)
Sie erhalten dann umgehend das Update per E-Mail.

AmigaOS / MorphOS: Ask Me Up XXL 2.0.1
Das kommerzielle Quiz-Spiel "Ask me Up" liegt jetzt in Version 2.0.1 vor. Unter anderem enthält das Spiel jetzt 1700 Fragen, sämtliche Grafiken liegen in der Auflösung 1600x900 vor und werden auf die aktuell verwendete Auflösung angepasst, außerdem erfolgt die Grafikausgabe jetzt Hardware-unterstützt. Die Änderungen im Detail:
- 1700 questions divided into 16 themes (Sport, People, Literature, Movies, ...)
- 16:9 display, HD drawings, designed for 1600x900, management from 1024x768 up to 1920x1080
- Use hardware acceleration (Composition mode)
- The Quiz to play alone with a progressive access to new questions based on performance; progress is represented by a map
- The Cup for challenging several friends simultaneously (up to six !, two at keyboard, four with joysticks/joypads) in 5 different rounds
- Numerous performance indicators: points, success rate, medals (yellow, orange or red), cups, ranks ("baby", "schoolchild", "student", "teacher" or "expert")
- Very detailed statistics (general, per player, theme, player and theme) and curve representing the evolution of the success rate of the 5 best players
- Questions in the form of texts, images or slides
- Management of mouse, keyboard (2 sets of keys), joystick and joypad
- Menu music and sound environment, including hilarious buzzers sounds!
- Available in French, English, Italian, German (41%), Spanish (47%), Swedish (31%), Portuguese (44%) and Greek (33%) - non translated questions in the language are displayed in English
- Dual display of measurement units (miles, yards, feet ...) if English language selected

Amiga-Emulator: FS-UAE 2.5.16dev
Frode Solheims FS-UAE für Windows, Mac OS X, Linux und BSD basiert auf WinUAE und ist komplett per Joypad bedienbar. Seit der letzten stabilen Version im März (2.4.1) wurden bislang nur noch in Entwicklung befindliche Fassungen veröffentlicht.
Änderungen in FS-UAE 2.5.16dev:
- Fixed legacy uaegfx_card option
- Make sure early configuration warning messages are displayed in GUI
- Fixed parsing of memory options
- Fixed infinite loop when more than one HDF/CD was used with UAE controller
- Fix for A1000 boot issue with full kickstart ROM
- Fixed patching of Cloanto A500/A4000 roms (broke in an earlier dev ver)
- Specify rpath for OS X executable (so plugins can find libs from fs-uae)
Bekannte Probleme:
- The PearPC fallback may not work properly. Please make sure you are using the qemu-uae plugin (check in fs-uae.log.txt that it is loaded properly) if you’re having problems
- AmigaOS 4.1 w/Picasso IV => sometimes weird frame rate (~36 FPS)
- When starting FS-UAE from FS-UAE Launcher, accelerator flashs ROM writes are not persistent because the launcher uses a new copy every time
- Booting CD32 with CD inserted works, but inserting later, or eject + re-insert does not seem to work right now

Amiga-Resistance: Forum, FAQ und BBoAH offline
Novamann schreibt: "Leider wurden wir jetzt zum wiederholten Male gehackt. Als quasi Alleinunterhalter der Angebote blieb mir jetzt leider keine andere Wahl, als unseren Server für unbegrenzte Zeit zu stoppen. Mir fehlt einfach die Zeit, um ständig alles zu überprüfen und auf dem neuesten Stand zu halten. Bis ich wieder ausreichend Zeit habe, bleiben Forum und FAQs erst einmal offline. Das deutsche BBoAH wird auf die englische Version umgeleitet.
Es tut mir Leid, so rigorose Schritte unternehmen zu müssen, aber solange es Personen gibt, die aus welchen Gründen auch immer, meinen anderen schaden zu dürfen, bleibt mir keine andere Wahl.

Workbench-Ergänzung: BetterWB 3.8
Bei BetterWB handelt es sich wie bei AIAB, AmiKit oder AmigaSYS um eine Sammlung von Workbench-Ergänzungen für AmigaOS 3.1, welche jedoch auf übermäßigen Blickfang verzichtet und daher auch geringere Hardware-Voraussetzungen mitbringt. Zur Zielgruppe zählen somit neben Puristen und Besitzern von wenig oder gar nicht erweiterten Amigas beispielsweise auch Minimig-Nutzer.
Changes in version 3.8:
- Charmap is a tool that helps dealing with all the characters of a given font
- Prepcard+ helps the user in managing other hardware on the PCMCIA port (Wifi, ethernet, modems and card readers)
- Ned is a commodity that lets you close the active window by pressing the "Esc" key
- Freewheel is a commodity that helps you in using the mouse wheel comfortably
- Updated HardWiz: phase5 68060.library to latest v46.15
- Updated icon.library to 46.4.385
- Updated pfs3aio to v2.3 (28-05-2014)
- HDToolBox is back (some users reported incompatibilities with HDinstTools)
- WhichAmiga now properly works with ACA accelerators (modrobert´s fix)
- EnvHandler is now offered as an option, and a warning message is displayed upon first install of BetterWB
- Tweaked Magic Menu Prefs: Pull-Down and Pop-Up menu usage is better than Smart Select (Thanks Retrofan)
- A few more minor fixes and tweaks
