Software news: SN-HTMLKompress v1.0, Die Kleine Gilde II

SN-HTMLKompress

With SN-HTMLKompress by Steffen Nitz you can shrink HTML files to a minimum in size to reduce the loading times of your HTML files, save traffic and webspace or make reading your HTML file source code less easy to a stranger's eyes. Depending on the coding of the original file your HTML pages are shrinked by up to 30% by removing not needed comments, spaces and empty lines.

Die kleine Gilde II

A small update was released for the realtime trading simulation "Die kleine Gilde II" (DKG): an archive containing new background patterns for the optoins screens "buildings" and "cart list"and for the progress display.

The author does especially thank for the report in the "Amiga Insider" that has a great influence on his motivation. An entry was added to the developer diary about DKG giving a preview of the author's next planned enlargements of his game.

SN-ListDatei V1.3 available and new survey launched
The new version 1.3 of SN-ListDatei is now available on the website of its programmer Steffen Nitz. This tool lists all files including the subdirectories in a window in a list format and displays the KB-sizes and date of all files and directories.

It is now possible to create a html-index-file including the titles and comments of the html-files being part of the index.

Steffen Nitz asks to take part in the new survey regarding his programs. The survey can be found under the titlelink. (ps)

Russian development of a ColdFire accelerator preliminary stopped
Another trial, the development of a ColdFire based accelerator card for the Amiga, was nearly unknown, apparently because of a language barrier. You can find the Turbo-CF project of Vladimir 'Vovanius' under the titlelink.

Because of the lack of money for the production start of the board the ColdFire-project is preliminary stopped sine last month. But they want to use the time to develop a PowerPC based accelerator board. (snx) (Translation: ts)

MorphOS: Pre-release of the screen grabber SnapIt
At PUSH event in Sweden, Stefan Blixth of OnyxSoft released version 0.1 of the screen grabber SnapIt for MorphOS (screenshot).

SnapIt is a screen grabber that works similar to Stephan Rupprecht's SGrab, but features a MUI-based user interface and is MorphOS-native.

Versions for AmigaOS/68k and AROS are planned for the future. A native version for AmigaOS4 has not been possible, though, since the author doesn't have the chance so far to compile one.
