Pictogram line: Iconlauncher beta version 0.1
With Iconlauncher there is a new pictogram line for AmigaOS and MorphOS (screenshot).

The program supports skins, catalog files, text under the pictograms and animated pictograms as well as playing noise or music.

IBM introduces Dual-970MP Blades with 2,5GHz and 2,7GHz
No longer Apple but IBM is operating the fastest PPC: The completely renewed JS21 blades are using two 970MP at a time with a little extent- as dual cpu with 2,5 GHz or with a deactivated second core but 2,7 GHz then. Besides an updated I/O infrastructure IBM has also announced own Cell based Blades for the third quarter in 2006. (cg) (Translation: ts)

AmigaOS 4: Cranu 0.1 beta, graphic frontend for LhA et al.
Cranu is virtually the counterpart to Unarc: A graphic user interface to create LhA-, LZX-, Zip-, tgz- or tar.bz2-archives. With its "Profiles" Cranu is expandable to further archive formats by the user. (cg) (Translation: ub)
