Pegasos: PegXMac available (Update)
The Live-CD PegXMac from the PegXLin developer David Bentham (amiga-news.de reported), which allows it to boot MacOS on a Pegasos using Mac-on-Linux without a hard disk-installation of Linux, is now available.
Main features:
- Live-CD (no hard disk-installation required)
- Mac-on-Linux (MOL) 0.70-3
- Automatic hardware-detection (specific for the Pegasos)
- One CDROM, DVD or CDRW drive required
- Easy to use interface for setting up MOL
Advantages of PegXMac:
- PegXMac is the first existing Live-CD which is specifically configured for the Pegasos I/II
- No installation required (except for the MacOS part), just boot from CD if you want to use MacOS only
- Everything is set up for installing the (not included) MacOS, therefore no need to burn the midnight candle for installing and configuring Linux before
- Fast booting
- Easy to use
