MorphOS: Subfont 1.0
Maxim Ilyins Subfont for MorphOS helps edge smoothing for fonts which are used by the video player MPlayer.
The font.desc-file can be created for each code. According to the author Subfont should work with TrueTyp and Type1 as well as each other font types which are supported by libfreetype.

Ross Vumbaca has published version 5.23 of his Sound Blaster 128-AHI-driver.
The driver supports the Ensoniq ES1370 as well as all Creative Labs-PCI-soundcards which are not based on the emu10k1-Chip or a version of it (z.B. "SB Live").

File System: SFS 1.264 / 1.265 (Update)
Jörg Strohmayer has released version 1.264 of the alternative file system SFS for AmigaOS 3.x and AmigaOS 4 under the title link. The update fixes a bug during the build of softlinks.

Minimig: Photo of the finished Rev. 1.0 Board
Dennis van Weeren, developer of the fpga-based Amiga 500 clone Minimig, has released a photo of the final mounted and running board rev 1.0 under the title link.
The two layer pcb with the very small dimensions of 120 x 120 mm includes the components which were separated from the prototype (photo) yet.

Video Tutorial: Install AmigaOS 3.1 under WinUAE 1.3.3
Jörg Klopsch is making available a revised version of his "AmigaOS 3.1 Installation" video. The resolution of the video now amounts to 912x679 pixels, multiple emulated disk drives are used for the installation and the WinUAE setting for "Floppy Drive Speed" rests at Maximum. The author thanks for the numerous suggestions.

MorphOS: SimpleView 1.7
Tom 'Amigaharry' Duin has released version 1.7 of his MorphOS picture viewer SimpleView under the title link. SimpleView is characterized by being composed entirely in PowerPC machine language.
With version 1.7, huge pictures can now be reduced in size as well, to fit the largest available screen. Still excluded from which is ARGB32 for the time being, however.

Gary Peake passed away (Update)
Guido van Bercum reports at the amigaworld.net forum that Gary Peake has lost his fight against the cancer.
Gary peake became internationally known when he took over the leader ship of the Team Amiga (started by Rick Lembree the year before) in 1996. In the year 2000 he joined to the new formed Amiga Incorporated, where he lead the developer support.

PPC hardware: English website for SAM440, project history
The website of the announced PPC motherboards SAM440 (amiga-news.de reported) is available in English now.
Also the Polish Amiga portal exec.pl provides an English translation of an Italian text which had been released at the Pianate Amiga and briefly covers the development history of this PPC motherboards.
