Arcade game: AMiner 2019-10-08
AMiner (video) is a simple arcade game for one or two players which under time pressure was originally developed for the video game competition of the Retrokomp. Since the initial release a year ago the author has provided several updates and continutes to develop the game.

AmigaOS 4: Arena shooter 'Blastaway'
Simone 'saimo' Bevilacqua's 'Blastaway' (video) is an arena shooter with 50 levels in five different worlds. The game principle is inspired by Wizard of Wor, the graphics by The Chaos Engine.

MorphOS: Software Development Kit 3.14 (November 2019)
An update of the MorphOS SDK 3.14 released in October provides updated versions of the binutils. Additionally some minor problems were fixed and the memory requirement lowered to 1 GB. The SDK requires at least MorphOS 3.12 and harddisk space. The source codes of the archive are available as separate download.

Emulator: FS-UAE 3.0.2
For Frode Solheim's Amiga emulator FS-UAE there are ports for Windows, Mac OS X and different Linux and BSD versions. The latest version 3.0.2 fixes a bug of the video scaling under Windows which happened if the fullscreen mode was closed.

Operating system: Friend announces "Sky-Computing"
The operating system FriendUP (amiga-news.de reported) is inspired by the Amiga but not compatible to it. The former developers of AROS and MorphOS programs, Hogne Titlestad and Paweł Stefański, as well as the former Commodore-UK manager David Pleasance and Colin Proudfoot are involved in this project. Under the title link now they announced to introduce "Sky Computing" which is to link all their different cloud solutions.

Game announcements: Preview videos onf 'Metro Siege' and 'Formula Fun'
Metro Siege (video) is a horizontally scrolling beat'em up for up to two players which requires 512 KB chip and Fast RAM. According to the developers "it will feature foreground and background parallax, over 60 colours on screen, multi button and joypad support, 2 player co-op and sophisticated combat with dozens of moves even the karate kid would be impressed by!".
According to the developer the fun racer 'Formula Fun' (videos: 1, 2) developed with AMOS is inspired by classic games like 'Indy Heat', 'Super Sprint' and Super Off-Road. The videos have been already recorded in February and show an early prototype of the game.

Mike Richmond's 'Vegetables Deluxe' (video) is a "match 3 game featuring all-new full colour hi-resolution graphics". Originally developed for the C64 entwickelt, purchasers of a 'deluxe' version will get an ADF download including an Amiga port as bonus. You can purchase the digital editon of Vegetables Deluxe for 5,40 ¤, the boxed version delivered on a (C64-) disk and with printed manual for 17 ¤, plus shipping from Canada.

Print magazine: Amiga Future, issue 141
The English and German editions of Amiga Future 141 (November/December 2019) have been released today and can be ordered from the magazine staff or various Amiga dealers. The publisher points out that the magazine was selling very well recently, resulting in it being sold out before the publication date. Until the total circulation of the magazine can be increased, it is highly recommended to order issues early subscribe to the publication.
