Joystick in Atari-VCS style: Hyperkin Trooper

Hungarian PDF magazine: Amiga Mania, issue 13/14

Quiz for AmigaOS 4/MorphOS: "Board Games" update for AskMeUp XXL
Jérôme 'Glames' Senay's Ask Me Up is a one to five player quiz game for AmigaOS 4, MorphOS and Windows featuring now 2176 questions in 15 categories. Today the "Board Games" add-on, which includes 63 new questions about board games ("Which avenue does not exist in Monopoly ?"), has been released and is freely downloadable from the website. Translations for English, Spanish, Italian, German, French, Swedish and Portuguese are available.

TopTasks.sbar is a Screenbar plugin for MorphOS that shows the task currently eating the most CPU time.
When clicked it opens a window showing the top 10 tasks currently hogging all your precious CPU time. Furthermode it can display a history of the top tasks of the last 100 seconds.

Amigakit: Buffered 4xIDE adapter for A600/1200
Amigakit now offers a buffered IDE adapter which can connect up to four devices to the internal port of an A600 or A1200. Users of an A1200 additionally can purchase a FastIDE adapter "to speed up IDE transfers" - no detailed information are available.

First release of AMOS Professional AGA
A half year ago it was announced that Frédéric Cordier is going to develop a special AGA version of AMOS Professional. Its source codes have been released years ago. Meanwhile the project is called "AMOS Professional AGA" and has a separate website. Additionally a first public version has been released.

Aminet: Beware of new virus
On Aminet a new virus crept in which obviously cannot be detetcted by antivirus software. The file util/virus/vprot.lha contained a Trojaner which writes a bootblock virus on a disk. Those ones who downloaded the archive this morning, should immediately delete it and do not use the disks that were inserted.

AmigaOS 4: Homebank 4.6.3
Homebank "is a free software that will assist you to manage your personal accounting". Originally the application was developed on the Amiga. The latest Linux version still can import project files of the old Amiga version. Now Edgar Schwan has updated the port of the program to his X11 environment AmiCygnix (screenshot ).
Changes since version 4.4:
- Transactions can be broken down by category.
- Quick search for transaction.
- Fiscal year limits can be configured.
- Planned transaction date before or after the weekend.
- Possibility to execute planned transactions individually from the list.
- Language can be set.
- Overview of cash flows as a diagram.
- New filters for the account window.

AMOSKittens: free AMOS interpreter for AmigaOS 4 in development (Update)
Kjetil 'LiveForIt' Hvalstrand is working on an interpreter which can run AMOS source code under AmigaOS 4. As the developer wrote "on the Amos command this project tries to stay 99% compatible, a few command wont work as this project use a bit more modern chunky image format instead of the planar graphic format". He also points out to AMOS Professional AGA (amiga-news.de reported) for "this is the most advanced version of Amos Pro right now".
