David Connolly verabschiedet sich mit folgenden Worten vom Amigamarkt:

«Ein Lebewohl von CS&E, liebe Freunde,
im Amiga-Markt ein kommerzielles Geschäft zu führen wird ständig schwieriger. Ich meine das nicht nur im Bezug auf schlechte Verkaufszahlen, sondern auch im Bezug auf das Führen professioneller Kommunikation und das Unterhalten von Geschäftsbeziehungen. Ich fühle mich nicht nicht in der Lage für den Amiga einen wirklich professionellen Service zu bieten, da ich in beiden Punkten gescheitert bin. Ich habe unpassende Kommentare auf Mailinglisten abgegeben und es nicht geschafft, Entwickler für CS&E zu gewinnen.
Da ich schon einmal angekündigt habe, CS&E würde den Classic-Amiga verlassen, aber zur nächsten Generation zurückkehren würde, muss ich dieses Mal mit Bedauern sagen, dass die Firma den Amiga verlässt, um sich auf die Entwicklung für PC zu konzentrieren. Amiga Survivor wird als non-profit-Magazin von der Redaktion weiter geführt werden, CS&E aber weite hin durch die Entgegennahme von Bestellungen helfen.
Ich wünsche dem Amiga das Beste und werde alle Entwicklungen wie ein eifriger Kunde genau beobachten.»

«Farewell from CS&E, Dear friends,
maintaining a commercial business in the Amiga market has become increasingly difficult. I don't just mean in terms of the poor sales, but in terms of maintaining professional communication and business relationships. I don't feel I am able to offer a truly professional service for the Amiga as I have failed on both these counts. I have made inproper comments on mailing lists and failed to attract developers to sign for CS&E.
As I have made the announcement before that CS&E would leave the classic Amiga but come back for the next generation, it is with regret that I have to say this time the company is leaving the Amiga to concentrate on the PC development.
Amiga Survivor will be continuing as a non-profit making magazine through the editorial staff but CS&E will continue to lend a hand in taking orders.
I wish the Amiga all the best and will be keeping a very close eye on all the developments as an eager customer.» (ps)
