This is a small announcement regarding WOS (WarpUp/WarpOS PPC) support within my Amiga/PPC products.

Several people did request this, and even promised to register their software WHEN this would be done.

Ok, it's done now - to some degree.

There's now an EGCS-based version of a plugin for akJFIF.datatype.

To be installed as follows:

  LoadElfWos           -> C:
  akJFIF.wos           -> sys:classes/datatypes
  akJFIF.datatype.040  -> sys:classes/datatypes/akJFIF.datatype

Note, that akJFIF.ppc still should to be left where it is - the .wos version only will be used, if powerpc-lib V14+ is found (and thus ppc.library will be disabled, anyway).

Otherwise ppc.library and the .ppc plugin will be used. One can use the "NOPPC" option to switch either one off.

This perhaps is the first PPC/WOS "mixed" binary ;)

I'll soon supply this "patch" on my homepage - in the meantime you can already spread it, if you like (PPC mailing list or so).

Important: From the feedback on this WOS plugin for akJFIF it will depend, whether I'll port the other datatypes plus my SView PPC modules as well. So, please register NOW - or never. (ps)
