Hired Guns-/Dungeon Master-Klon: Cyber Blast 2
Cyber Blast 2 (Screenshots: 1, 2) ist ein "Dungeon Crawler" im Stil von Dungeon Master oder Hired Guns. Das Spiel wurde erstmals vor 12 Jahren über das Aminet als Shareware vertrieben, inzwischen ist die Vollversion beim polnischen Amiga-Portal PPA zum Download erhältlich.
Das Archiv enthält ein Installations-Script, mit dessen Hilfe sich Cyber Blast 2 auf Festplatte oder Disketten installieren lässt.

A-EON Technology: Erste AmigaONE-X1000-Auslieferung an reguläre Kunden
Wie A-EON Technology in der nachfolgend wiedergegebenen Pressemitteilung bekanntgibt, werden nun die First-Contact-Systeme des AmigaONE X1000 mit AmigaOS 4.1 Update 5 an reguläre Kunden ausgeliefert.
Letztere erhalten bei Erscheinen AmigaOS 4.2 kostenlos, während jetzt die Arbeiten am Update 5 für andere Plattformen beginnen. Der Preis des Systems beträgt bei drei zusätzlichen GB Arbeitsspeicher und doppelter Festplattenkapazität gegenüber der Grundausstattung 1915 Britische Pfund zzgl. Mwst. und Versand.

Wellington, 25th January 2012. A-EON Technology and Hyperion Entertainment are pleased to announce that the AmigaOS 4.1 Update 5 CD, exclusively created for the AmigaONE X1000 "First Contact" system has gone gold. The professionally re-mastered CD will be supplied in a printed boxed set along with copies of the AmigaONE X1000 and AmigaOS 4.1 "Quick Start" guides.
Steven Solie, Hyperion Entertainment's AmigaOS Development Team Lead said, "The team worked hard to reach this important milestone in the development of the Amiga Operating System. With AmigaOS 4.1 Update 5 completed for the AmigaONE X1000 we can concentrate on versions for all the other supported hardware platforms as we continue to push towards the future release of AmigaOS 4.2."
Trevor Dickinson added, "I would like to thank the AmigaOS developers and the whole AmigaONE X1000 betatest team who have worked so tirelessly behinds the scenes to make this a reality. The AmigaOS 4.1 Update 5 boxed set will be supplied to all AmigaONE X1000 "First Contact" customers who will also receive a free update to AmigaOS 4.2 when it is commercially released by Hyperion Entertainment.

A-EON Technology and AmigaKit are pleased to announced that the deliveries of AmigaONE X1000 "First Contact" systems have commenced. Matthew Leaman, Managing Director of AmigaKit commented, "we are pleased to finally supply this eagerly awaited AmigaONE computer system to our customers".

Firefox-Portierung: Status-Update für Timberwolf
Thomas Frieden hat wieder ein Status-Update für die Firefox-Portierung "Timberwolf" veröffentlicht. Dass es in den letzten Wochen keine Status-Updates gegeben habe, lag an der "langweiligen" Natur der zuletzt gemacht Fortschritte wie der Beseitigung von Fehlern oder der Implementierung fehlender Funktionen.
Erwähnenswert sei, dass Timberwolf für seine graphische Benutzeroberfläche inzwischen das Farbschema des Systems verwendet (Firefox verwendet ein eigenes Toolkit für seine Benutzeroberfläche, das normalerweise Systemeinstellungen ignoriert). Weitere Neuigkeiten seien laut Frieden "in den nächsten Tagen" zu erwarten. (cg)

Jump'n Run: Bonuslevel für Mr. Beanbag
Für Amy Worthingtons kürzlich veröffentlichtes Jump'n Run Mr. Beanbag wurde jetzt ein erster Bonuslevel veröffentlicht (Youtube-Video). Da die Option im Spiel fremde Level nachzuladen noch nicht implementiert ist, wird der Bonuslevel als separates Executable vertrieben.

Convierteme 2.10 (AmigaOS 4/MorphOS/AROS)
Convertieme ist ein einfaches, mit Hollywood erstelltes Bildbearbeitungsprogramm, das Bilder in andere Formate konvertieren, rotieren oder mit "Wasserzeichen" versehen kann.
Außerdem stellt der Autor von seinen älteren Titeln Sirena Player (Audio-Player) und Bed Games (Umsetzung eines Kinderspiels) jetzt auch MorphOS-Portierungen zur Verfügung. (cg)
