Printmagazin: Amiga Future, Ausgabe 113
Die deutsche und englische Ausgabe 113 (März/April 2015) des Printmagazins Amiga Future ist heute erschienen und kann direkt bei der Amiga-Future-Redaktion sowie im Amiga-Fachhandel bestellt werden.
Das aktuelle Heft enthält u.a. ein Interview mit Cherry Darling, einen Workshop zur Final Edition von AmigaOS 4.1 sowie ein Test von WinUAE. (cg)

Erneuter Relaunch der "Amiga Arena"
Olaf Köbniks "Amiga Arena" hatte von 1997 bis 2004 Sonderangebote oder kostenlose Downloads für zahlreiche Shareware- oder Kommerz-Titel ermöglicht, außerdem wurden viele Interviews mit Programmierern und "Machern" aus dem Amiga-Bereich veröffentlicht.
2008 gab es einen ersten Relaunch, jetzt ist die Arena erneut zurück: Das Design wurde komplett überarbeitet, und die Spiele Blade und Hilt II stehen zum Download zur Verfügung. Sämtliche alten Inhalte sollen schrittweise wieder zugänglich gemacht werden. (cg)

Szenario-Editor für Dune 2 (Windows)
Mit dem "Dune 2 Scenario Editor" lassen sich eigene Missionen für das Echtzeit-Strategical Dune 2 erstellen. Das 2007 veröffentlichte und im Januar leicht überarbeitete Windows-Programm unterstützt auch die Amiga-Portierung bzw. deren Dateiformat.

PDF-Magazin: REV'n'GE 28 (italienisch)
Die Ausgabe 28 des italienischen PDF-Magazins REV'n'GE ("Retro Emulator Vision and Game") wurde unter dem Titellink auch in englischer Übersetzung veröffentlicht.
Die Spiele-Reviews vergleichen die Umsetzungen von Klassikern zwischen unterschiedlichen damaligen Plattformen.

Bei der Datei unter dem Titellink handelt es sich um die italienische Originalfassung, eine englische Übersetzung liegt noch nicht vor. (snx)

Amiga-Emulator Uae4all2 aus Google Play Store verbannt.
Der Maintainer der Android-Portierung des Amiga-Emulators Uae4all2 ist vom Team des Android-App-Stores "Google Play Store" informiert worden, dass seine Anwendung aus dem Katalog entfernt worden sei. Die englische Original-Mitteilung liegt uns vor (s.u.), dort ist lediglich vage die Rede von "Urhebberrechtsverletzungen und Anmaßungen oder Täuschungen, die gegen die Inhalte-Politik [von Google-Play] verstossen". Genauere Informationen liegen derzeit nicht vor.
Die Mitteilung im Wortlaut:
"This is a notification that your application, Uae4all2, with package ID pandora.uae4all.sdl, has been removed from the Google Play Store.
REASON FOR SUSPENSION: Violation of the intellectual property and impersonation or deceptive behavior provisions of the Content Policy. Please refer to the IP infringement and impersonation policy help article for more information.
- Your app and/or elements of its listing on Google Play, including title, description, logo(s), or promotional screenshots must not include unauthorized usage of protected works belonging to a third party.
- Your app icon and promotional screenshots must not contain images that appear confusingly similar to existing products.
This particular app has been disabled as a policy strike. If your developer account is still in good standing, you may revise and upload a policy compliant version of this application as a new package name.
This notification also serves as notice for other apps in your catalog. You can avoid further app suspensions by immediately ensuring that no other apps in your catalog are in violation of (but not limited to) the above policy. Please also ensure your apps’ compliance with the Developer Distribution Agreement and Content Policy.
All violations are tracked. Serious or repeated violations of any nature will result in the termination of your developer account, and investigation and possible termination of related Google accounts. If your account is terminated, payments will cease and Google may recover the proceeds of any past sales and the cost of any associated fees (such as chargebacks and payment transaction fees) from you.

NXP kauft Freescale für 12 Milliarden US-Dollar
Der US-basierte Prozessor-Hersteller Freescale wurde vom niederländischen Chiphersteller NXP übernommen, einer Marktgröße bei Automotive, NFC und ARM. Freescale (ehemals Motorola) stellt u.a. PPC-Prozessoren her, darunter die in der angekündigten AmigaOne X5000-Rechnern verbauten P3041- und P50x0-CPUs. (cg)

Audio-Player: SirenaPlayer 3.00 (AmigaOS 4/MorphOS)
Der Sirena Player ist ein mit Hollywood geschriebener Audio-Player für AmigaOS 4 und MorphOS, der FLAC-, MOD-, MP3-, M4A- und WAV-Dateien wiedergibt. Das Programm benötigt die entsprechenden Hollywood-Plugins sowie die mpega.library.
Version 3.00 wurde mit Hollywood 6 neu kompiliert, außerdem gab es interne Optimierungen. (cg)

AmigaOS 4: Dateimanager Directory Opus 4.18.41
Jeff 'Xenic' Porter hat ein Update des Dateimanagers Directory Opus 4 veröffentlicht, in dem einige kleinere Fehler ausgebessert wurden. Außerdem interpretiert das Programm das "H"-Bit jetzt so wie vom Betriebssystem vorgegeben - bisher hatte Directory Opus es als Schalter zum Verstecken von Dateien ("Hidden") benutzt.
Die Änderungen in Version 4.18.41:
- Added missing arguments check in DopusRT to prevent a crash if DopusRT is started with no arguments
- Fixed access of freed memory when closing an asynchronous Read window. Fixed several potential memory leaks
- Added signal notification to asynchronous Read windows when quitting Dopus4 or returning with changes from ConfigOpus. Previously the asynchronous Read windows could be forcibly closed at users request and leave Read processes running with no window
- Fixed launching of asynchrouous Read processes and added checks for Ctrl-C to shut down those processes
- Fixed reopening of Dopus4 on front screen when returning from ConfigOpus changes if Dopus4 was initially started with "BEHINDWB" TOOLTYPE or "-B" CLI argument
- Eliminated a crash in the Dopus4 ANSIRead command
- Changed the "close foreign windows" requester to open on the Dopus4 screen when quitting Dopus4 from it's own screen
- Fixed copying of directories form archives opened in a lister
- Fixed some failures to unlock public screens after failed memory allocations or file access
- Updated "alien windows" requester text to match previously updated requester actions
- Added Czech catalogs and French catalog. Updated all catalogs. Program catalog definition file and translation files updated
- Changed "Hidden" bit in Protect requester to "Hold" bit for OS4. Eliminated hidden bit setting in ConfigOpus which activated hiding of files with the H bit set. The H bit is actually a hold bit in OS4 and indicates to AmigaDOS that the file should be added to the resident list if the P (pure) bit is also set
- Added popupmenu & xadmaster header files to sources so others can compile Dopus4 without hunting for missing includes
- Updated history files

AmigaOS 4: Arcade-Puzzler Quartet mit amiboing.de-Anbindung
Bei "Quartet" gilt es, möglichst fix aus vier Einzelteilen verschiedene Robotergesichter zusammenzusetzen. Der kostenlose Download wurde von Nick Sommer vom iphone auf AmigaOS 4 portiert und nutzt die Möglichkeiten der Amiboing-Plattform von Entwickler X wie Online-Highscores und Errungenschaften. (cg)
