MorphOS: OpenOfficeDraw-viewer ODI 0.0.1 alpha 2
Carsten Siegner wrote: ODI is an OpenOfficeDraw-viewer written in C. It has a MUI-interface and uses the well-known Cairo-Engine (which is either used by the MorphOS-version of the Origyn Web Browser).

The tool has an OpenOfficeDraw-import modul as well as a Postscript and SVG-export modul. In this version Postscript and SVG are still not linked.

This alpha version of the program make a lot of debug-output but can be used. The export moduls can handle multilateral documents, the view modul cannot. Furthermore the text, the gradients and the line markers are not shown correctly. This will be fixed with the next version.

Commodore USA announced keyboard computer
On its website "Commodore USA" has announced a Commodore keyboard computer. This computer is advertised with the slogan "you loved us then... you'll love us again!" and seems to be similar to a Cybernet All-In-One PC.

YAM-Homepage reworked
Jens Langner wrote: After the release of version 2.6 of Yet Another Mailer (YAM) the YAM-Team has now reworked its homepage.

All information were not only reworked but the website introduces as combined information and development site about the free eMail client YAM. The complete development environment (bug-/feature-tracker and SVN-repository) which so far was hosted at sourceforge.net was taken to the YAM-homepage as well.

The new environment based on "trac" is supposed to be a general information point additional to the existing online-forum and the online-FAQ. With the new feature called "Timeline" now the latest changes of the source code, the tickets or of the homepage itself can be now recognized easily.

Users who in future want to send bug reports or feature requests are asked to create a new account. Thus it is easier to communicate. (snx) (Translation: dr)

AmigaOS 4: RunInUAE r3 (beta version 2)
With Christopher Handley's RunInUAE you can use the Amiga emulator E-UAE under AmigaOS 4 in a more comfortable way. E-UAE must be installed before.

With RunInUAE it is possible to start almost every ADF disk image or every game and application which are installed on harddrive with E-UAE.

Changes in release 3 of RunInUAE:
  • Fixed collisions not working in AGA games like Deluxe Galaga (Existing users may need to use the menu item "Control E-UAE > Set collision level to > playfields" when playing such a game)
  • Added the "Set collision level to" menu item
  • No-longer restarts E-UAE unnecessarily (Back to how it used to be)
  • The user can specify where RuneUAE's window appears on start. And window position is remembered when you hide it
  • The installer now has a Simple Mode for first time installations (Requires an Amiga Forever CD)
  • Fixed E-UAE potentially being installed in the wrong place
  • Added "Set joystick to" menu (Very useful for Pinball Fantasies, where the default joystick settings stop the arrow keys being used)
  • Added "Set default joystick to" menu
  • Ejects the old disk before insert a new one. Should improve compatibility with certain games
  • Updated the manual to reflect the new joytick options

AmigaOS 4: E-UAE 0.8.29-20080820 without SDL
