`23.Oct.2002` Michael Böhmer (ANF)	SUBWAY production started Michael Böhmer of E3B writes: Not ignoring the difficulties within the Amiga market we at E3B decided at least to start a small production run of the SUBWAY USB card also. The open positive feedback by many Amiga users was not a small subject to make this decision. Therfore we see the introduction of the SUBWAY as a small gift to the users. We hope to give a positive sign for the classic market and hop to fulfill all expectations of quality and innovation. The smallness of this production run will cause some delays. `23.Oct.2002` NetBSD (ANF)	NetBSD 1.6 published in September 2002 already On September the 14th 2002 version 1.6 of NetBSD/amiga has been published already. Ports of NetBSD, a fully functional and UNIX style operating system, which was developed at the University of California Berkeley and is open source, is for nearly every system available. NetBSD is a complete system. Additionally to an easy portable and high efficient kernel, NetBSD contains a full set of utilities, compiler for several languages the X window system, a firewall software and other different tools, which all come including the sources. NetBSD supports software of other authors (e.g. the desktop systems KDH and gnome) by using the packages collection. Further information is to find at the official announcement of NetBSD 1.6. `20.Oct.2002` Amiga Flame	AmigaDE: Jami - Java libraries especially for AmigaDE Gabriel Hauber and Onno Scheffers of Atomic Digital Studios are working on new developer tools for AmigaDE. 'Jami' is a set of Java libraries which have been written especially for AmigaDE and, among other things, make the extended facilities of AmigaDE APIs like Ami2D and AmiAudio directly available to Java developers. This is a version which is still in progress and which therefore possibly contains bugs. The developer team offers no support and gives no guarantee!
