AmigaOS 4: Web-Browser Netsurf 2.0dev (beta)
NetSurf is a fast browser originally developed for RiscOS which can be used with a memory of 17 MB. It supports HTML 4.01, XHTML 1.0 and CSS 2.1.

This version published by Chris Young is completely nativ, Reaction is used as GUI-toolkit.

The author points out that this version is an early beta version which is not stable and not complete - e.g. HTTPS-sites do still not work.

Netsurf does not support Javascript but an corresponding library is in work. (cg) (Translation: dr)

AmigaOS 4: Infrared-receiver and Ethernet-Audio "ParIR"
ParIR written by Daniel Westerberg is a hardware/software combination which consists of two parts: On one hand it is a commodity which recognizes infrared siganls with the help of a hardware which is connected to the parallel port and then starts user-defined Cli or ARexx programs.

The second part sends analog audio signals over a an Ethernet cable to a analog multiplier.

Westerberg uses this combination to listen to the audio playback of his AmigaOne in the living room without laying additional cable.

The archive which the author has published includes the software as well as all necessary documentations for recreating the hardware components. (cg) (Translation: dr)
