Individual Computers: AmiGBG in Gothenburg, Delfina in production
On March 29th, the Amiga-show AmiGBG will take place. The event takes place for the third time this year, and we'll attend for the first time as an exhibitor. We will present new and known products from our palette together with our long-term partner GGS-Data. The Scandinavian Amiga-community is very active and most notably creative, therefore we're especially looking forward to this event!

With a little luck, we'll have our latest product in our luggage: After an extremely long wait, the sound card Delfina went into production. Nearly one year ago, we announced the last technical changes, that are already outdated today. The most important change is probably the split of the product into two boards. The updated product description on our website confirms what many people already assumed since the Catweasel MK3 PCI/Flipper is out: The new Delfina is a combined Zorro/PCI card. The first stage of this high-end sound card will be available in Germany starting April 7th, 2003. Pre-orders are taken by our retail partners. (ps)

e.p.i.c.: Divine Divinity coming to the Mac and MorphOS
Larian Studios and e.p.i.c. interactive announced today that they have signed a contract to bring Larian Studios' highly awarded role playing sensation Divine Divinity to the Apple Macintosh and MorphOS.

Warrior, Wizard or Survivor? Which fate is yours? It's your decision, one that will influence the gameplay of Divine Divinity - playable as an action based RPG or a classical RPG! According to prophecy, you are the chosen one. Only you have the strength, the courage and the magic to save the legendary lands of Rivellon from submission under the Lord of Chaos. Before you can take on the fight against Evil, you must journey far through a fantastic world torn apart by corruption, sinister plots and dark magic. Caution is vital! Whatever happens, the evil magicians of the black ring must not get hold of you!

With an involving storyline and plenty of sub quests for maximum replayability, Divine Divinity is role-playing gaming at its best! As a warrior, wizard or survivor, you will create your own destiny!

More information on Divine Divinity and all the accolades it has achieved, can be found on e.p.i.c's or Larian Studios website.

The Apple release will lead the way in QIII/03 followed shortly thereafter by the MorphOS release.

The Mac version will be OSX only and will require a G3-333, 128 MByte RAM and a 8 MByte 3D Gfxcard. The MorphOS version will need a Pegasos I or II. (ps)

Oliver 'Bladerunner' Hummel (ANF)

Programmer wanted for project 'Fli4l on Amiga'
Oliver 'Bladerunner' Hummel writes:
Maybe some of you know the software router package fli4l (see title link). With this software and a 486 it is possible, to create a fairly comfortable Linux based hardware router. The whole thing works quite good, and also the collaboration with the Amiga works out excellently. The only downer so far: In order to create the required boot diskette, up to now a Windows/Linux PC is still needed.

Now I have looked a bit closer into the DOS batch file and realised that only two little programs are needed which as yet haven't been available on the Amiga. One is mkfli4l, a progam which checks the config files of fli4l and generates the file structure for the required Tar file, and Syslinux, a boot loader, which can also be used from DOS and writes a boot block onto a diskette.

The program mkfli4l wasn't overly complicated, in any case I have succeeded in porting the program after some time of trial and error (actually it was a simple recompile with gcc). I have also adapted the script so it is in theory able to create a boot diskette. In practice, however, the program Syslinux is missing!

Thus now my question: Is it at all possible to use this program on the Amiga (of course one still would have to install an MS-DOS compatible file system on the Amiga) and if so, is there somebody out there who would port it? The whole thing doesn't seem to be especially extensive, only somebody would have to do it ;-) Btw, Syslinux can be found here: http://syslinux.zytor.com/.

If this whetted somebody's appetite, please contact me via e-Mail. (ps) (Translation: cb)
