Golem: Nokia releases Symbian-browser-engine as open source Nokia has now released the souce code of the rendering-engine Web Kit for the Symbian-smartphones with Series 60 as open source. Last November Nokia had published the according browser which is based on Apple's Safari Web Kit and thus on the rendering-engine KHTML by the KDE-project.
