Genesi: Marvell-Developerboard-support / interview with linux-printmagazine
As Genesi notifies in a press release, the Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) and Open Firmware (OF) of the Pegasos will be provided under license for Marvells' Discovery II- and Discovery III-Developerboards.

By the Pegasos-HAL/OF the runability of Pegasos-supported operating systems (like Linux or MorphOS) will be assured.

Furthermore Terra Soft Solutions has provided an PDF-formed interview, which was held by the british print magazine Linux User & Developer with Kai Staats (Terra Soft Solutions) and Raquel Velasco & Bill Buck (Genesi). (snx) (Translation: is)

Laser inscription with Amiga motifs, Part III
amiga-news.de reader Gernot "Gerry" Stühn had already made promotions multiple times, where Amiga users could get individual laser engravings on (for instance) stainless steel cups. Because of the surprisingly good response at that time, he would like to submit such an offer again. Stühn writes:

"As you still surely know, some time ago I had started an attempt to revive the Amiga and its corresponding remaining spirit again. In collaboration with my company, I had offered some products for laser engraving.

The response for this spontaneous promotion was amazingly good. Unfortunately, or, put another way, thank God, I am now no longer working at my former employer, "Lasertechnologie Winter." But in a short time I will consult four local laser companies, among others, about my new concept (am now self-employed). Thus, another chance to bring up some things, also in the Amiga domain again, arises of course, which could go in the direction of stainless steel unicums in matters of laser inscription.

But for this, I must necessarily know if there is still interest at all. Please use the contact form on my page for this (alternative link). I would be glad if we wangled it one more time.

Greetings,
