28.Jan.2025 Games That Weren't |
Amiga Games That Weren't: Darkland "Darkland" was an advanced action role-playing game developed by New Deal Productions in the early 1990s. The game was intended for the Amiga, but never reached commercial release. Thanks to the website "Games That Weren't", which specialises in unreleased games, new insights into the development of "Darkland" are now available. The website recently discovered extensive material, including screenshots, concept art and detailed information on the planned game mechanics. The project was heavily inspired by titles like "Shadow of the Beast" and promised a mix of combat, puzzles and exploration. According to "Games That Weren't", it is unclear whether a version of Darkland was released for the Atari ST. Although the game was never released for the Amiga, the newly discovered materials provide a fascinating insight into what might have been. (nba) [News message: 28.
