Developer log: Writing an own dialogue scripting language
Developer Dan Salvato has presented the creation of his own dialogue scripting language for his under-development game "Magicore Anomala" in a detailed blog post (amiga-news.de reported). In "Writing My Own Dialogue Scripting Language", Salvato describes the motivation and development process behind the creation of a custom language for implementing dialogues in video games. He discusses technical challenges and describes the components script, parser, bytecode and renderer.
