AmigaOS 4: A-EON Technology secures RadeonHD driver support
According to A-EON Technology under the title link, it has signed a new development agreement with premier AmigaOS graphics specialist Hans de Ruiter which ensures the future compatibility of AmigaOS 4 with the latest RadeonHD graphics cards.
This new driver will support the RV5x0 to RV7x0-chipsets (e.g X1950, HD4000) as well as HD5000-, HD6000- and the current HD7000-graphic boards.
For purchasers of an AmigaOne-X1000 the drivers are for free. Customers of ACube Systems can buy them for 28,85 £ (about 37 Euro). According to A-EON the HD5000- and HD6000-boards will be supported at the same level like the HD4000-boards.
