AROS-Distribution AspireOS 1.9
Nikolaos Tomatsidis has published an update archive of a new version of his AROS-distribution AspireOS. Mainly this distribution was written for the Acer-netbook Aspire One and does completely support the Toshiba-notebook Satellite Pro A200. It should also run on other hardware but this is not officially supported.
Additional to updated system files the distribution includes now the word processing Cinnamon Writer as well as the MIDI-player Timidity. The sound output of the games Duke Nukem and Hexen 2 does only work with the updated files from the AROS-Archives because the AspireOS game archive was still not updated.
The media center AMC, an update of LoView as well as up2date are included as well. Additional to new wallpapers and other graphics AspireOS 1.9 can now play Youtube videos by clicking the little numbers which are below the videos.
