Programming language: News about AmiBlitz
In two threads (1, 2) on amiforce.de several developers discussed the future of the programming language. Clearing the AmiBlitz-syntax, linking to GCC and renaming the project were some of the topics.
One thing has been already changed: Users of AmiBlitz can now save their source files as ASCII-files. Therefore the complete AmiBlitz source code is available as SVN-Repository.
Furthermore soon the official website of the AmiBlitz project will use the open source solution Joomla which would make it more easy to integrate it with the SVN-Repository but which also would make it not compatible with browsers available for AmigaOS 3. THerefore the webmaster Jens "bruZard" Henschel asked in a poll for feedback of the users.
In his basic.blog Henschel told about developments from the world of the Blitz-Derivate: Additionally to AmiBlitz he gave detailed information about BlitzMax with which applications and games for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X can be developed.
