Freescale: Closing Down of the Desktop Business/ Future in Embedded Area In an interview under the title link with Michel Mayer, CEO of Freescale Semiconductor, the former semiconductor sector of Motorola, he expresses himself of the future of the PowerPC. Despite the loss of the desktop business through Apple there should be a reason for optimism because of the growing opportunities in the embedded sector- automotive for example.
