At the title link Nicholas Blachford takes a view to Freescales coming PowerPC processor family 8641.
The new processor will be produced in a 90 nm SoI process (Silicon on Insulator) and not only offer two processor cores, a bigger cache (1 MB per core) and two integrated 667 MHz DDR-II memory controllers, but also two PCI Express interfaces, a RapidIO bus (similar to HyperTransport) and 4 Gigabit ethernet MACs with hardware TCP/IP accelaration and some other interfaces.
