Hardware "hack": Prometheus in desktop case Jim "Redrumloa" Farley by Anachronism Industries has found a way to built a "Prometheus" PCI busboard into a (closed) A3000 or A4000 desktop case. To do this are no modifications necessary for the Prometheus or the A4000. In his test computer has Farley next to the Prometheus built in a Voodoo3 graphics card and a PCI network card - still the video slot and two Zorro slots are accessible. A third Zorro slot is partly covered but should offer enough space for short slot cards. Further details and some photos can be found at amiga.org. Obviously Farley is thinking about offering the needed parts for sale. (cg) (Translation: wk) [News message: 03. Jul. 2004, 02:16] [Comments: 0] [Send via e-mail] [Print version] [ASCII version] | ||
