Golem: Toshiba saves 36 GByte on DVD-successor-medium
»Media are supposed to be produced with current production units
Now Toshiba has introduced a working prototyp of its rewritable optical medium which is
based blue laser. Toshiba can save up to 36 GByte of data in two layers on one side of
the medium - regularly 30 GByte are planned. In contrary to the product of Sony which
is called Blue-Ray the media of Toshiba are supposed to be produced with existing
