RC5-64 contest: Half-time! (Update)
The Amiga RC5 team participates now for four years in this worldwide contest
to crack a 64 bit key. That requires calculating up to 18,4 trillion possible
keys. Half of the total key count has now been calculated. The Amiga RC5 team
did not get lucky after 1331 days, but are currently advancing 2,5 times
faster than the average for the first half, and chances of finding the key
before the whole keyspace is searched are progressively getting better and
better.
The Amiga RC5 team is on rank 7 of thousands of teams and has more than 2500
participants with more than 5000 computers. Read the entire
press release
for more details.
