Technologies: AMD and Transmeta announce cooperation
AMD and
Transmeta announced to have signed a licence
agreement on industrial standards for future microprocessor technologies. The licence
includes AMD's x86-64(TM) technology as well as AMD's HyperTransport(TM) technology.
HyperTransport allows a faster transport of information so that single chips in
computers/networks can communicate with each other up to 48 times faster.
