Report from the Chaos Communication Congress
"The 16th Chaos Communication Congress divided the hacker community into two fractions more
than ever before - one wanting to do a life style party, and the other wanting to stress
political discussions and seminars. Harsh criticism and euphoric words were balanced in the
final discussion on Wednesday after three days "fun at the system". Chasms were across
"Windowsing", "generalism" and "game-centricism" of the hacker meeting. Does the Chaos
Computer Club open itself to the mainstream in a time when Internet is becoming the masses
media, and is the meeting degrading to just another LAN party?" More links:
