Graphic competition: Schlachtfeld
For one month there is the graphic competition to "Schlachtfeld". Today Horst Diebel gave some more details for the graphics to be made.

In contrary to the "old" Schlachtfeld units and background will stand in a relation 1 to 1 that means 64 pixels are ca. 20 m. The size of the pattern will be 64x64 pixels and you can use 256 colours or more. The developer would be very delighted if you took part. (ps) (Translation: dr)

SuSE Linux 7.3 for PowerPC available
After a long waiting it is time again. SuSE Linux 7.3 for PowerPC is now available at SuSE GmbH and at the retailers. 8 CDs contain more than 2000 software packages. To mention only a small selection of new software here are some examples:

KOffice, OpenOffice, Ogg/Vorbis (DivX), KDE 2.2.1, Gnome 1.4.1
But the distribution's highlight should be the availability of the filesystems Ext3, JFS and ReiserFS (all journaling filesystems).

As in the past I'll create an installation guide for Amiga systems. In any case I'll let you know when these are available on the net. (ps) (Translation: wk)
