Test report: 3D shooter under MorphOS with different graphics cards (Update)
Under the title link PPCNUX performs a detailed test of Morphos' suitability for 3D shooters with the use of different graphics cards.

Ports of Quake I-III were tested on a Pegasos II/G4 with the graphics cards Radeon 9200SE, Voodoo 3 3500TV and Radeon 9000 Pro All in Wonder.

Soundplayer: PlayOGG 3.3 released
PlayOGG is a sound player for OGG Vorbis, MP3, MPEG, FLAC, VOB, AC3, RA, SID and some more module and sound format files.

MorphOS: ezTCP 0.13, 7zip 4.29, Antiword 0.36.1

ezTCP 0.13

Pavel 'Sonic' Fedin has released alpha version 0.13 of the PPC native TCP/IP stack ezTCP. It fixes kown bugs of the predecent version.

Thanks to a hint by Frank Mariak AmiSSL should work now, too. Also the functions MiamiIsOnline() and MiamiOnOffline() have been implemented now which should are needed by YAM to work properly.

Linux: "Introduction to Smart Cards" - The ODW run by Gentoo
Pieter van den Abeele has written an English article which gives an introdruction to the use of Smart Cards with Gentoo Linux on the Open Desktop Workstation (ODW).

For the report an Athena SCS ASEDrive IIIe Smart Card reader was used, it is teh same model which is shipped by Genesi together with ODW. (snx) (Translation: ub)

MorphOS: New Screenshots from KHTML-porting progress
Linked to the header are four actual screenshots from development progress of the KHTML-Port for MorphOS. Among other thinks now are several Codepages supported, e.g. Unicode.

Team AROS: Bounty #33 completed (Backporting of MorphOS CLI commands)
Pavel 'Sonic' Fedin has completed Team AROS Bounty #33. It's aim has been the backporting of the improved CLI commands from MorphOS. The amount of the bounty, donated by Neil Cafferkey, has been 100 US-Dollar. (snx)

Zeta: yellowTab conside a PowerPC-support
Linked to the header yellowTab, developer of BeOS-follower Zeta, shows his plans for the future.

AmigaOS 4: Support for sound card Terratec Phase 22
As Davy Wentzler announces, the Envy24HT-5.5-AHI-driver now supports the sound card Terratec Phase 22, too.

The card possesses both analog and digital stereo inputs and outputs, as well as MIDI-in and -out. The new driver version should be available in OS4Depot before long. (snx) (Translation: cad)
