Instant Messenger: AmiGG 0.44.6 (Update)
AmiGG is an Instant Messenger which was originally written for the Gadu-Gadu-protocol and specially written for Poland but with the plugin system also supports the Tlen-protocol.

The new version 0.44.5 fixes some problems under AmigaOS 4 and AROS.

AmigaOS 4: Bounty site for Sputnik port
Under the title link Troels Ersking has opened a website where you can pay for an AmigaOS 4-port of the browser Sputnik. It is a KHTML port which Marcin 'Marcik' Kwiatkowski has started developing for MorphOS (amiga-news.de reported).

Linux: PowerPC-version of Ubuntu from version 7.04 inofficial
The Technical Board has decided that from version 7.04 the PowerPC version of the Linux distribution Ubuntu has only the status "inofficial".

MorphOS: logtool 1.10 and 2.01a
Jacek Piszczek has published an update of his log-analyzer for MorphOS, logtool (screenshot). Additional to version 1.10 an experimental alpha version 2.01a was published.

The program requires the MUI-terminal-class PowerTerm.mcc 50.68+ which is part of the MUICON-packet. (snx) (Translation: dr)

Textviewer: EvenMore 0.63
The newest version of the text viewer EvenMore included following changes:
  • Added GETWINPTR ARexx command to EvenMore's port
  • Added ability to launch commands from the Quickload menu
  • Tidied up clipping on title when in borderless window mode
  • Removed Execute menu. This has been replaced by the Quickload execute function

WHDLoad: New packages since 12.Feb.2007
With WHDLoad is it possible to execute Games and Scene-Demos, which are work only from Floppydisc, to install on a harddrive. Also several incompatibility problems with newer Amiga-models will be fixed.

following Installer are added or updated since our last report:
  • 10.02.07 updated: Seven Seas (Andromeda) fixed to work with WHDLoad 16.6+, fixed for 68000/OCS/ECS, new install script (Info,Image)
  • 10.02.07 new: Workbench 3.1 (CBM) done by Wepl (Info)

  • 29.01.07 improved: Killing Game Show (Psygnosis) new imager, memory requirement changed, bugs fixed, 2nd fire button supported, new install script and icons (Info)

AROS: Simple Database Engine (Alpha-Version)
Linked to the header Fabio Falcucci has released the first Alphaversion of his database-program Simple DataBase (SDB) for AROS.

The archive is available as Zip-File and pre-installed as a part of a bootable ISO-File (Bassed on AROS-Nightly Build vom 7. Februar), so all interessted people can test it without a installation on a harddisk. (snx)

Ron van Schaik writes: Our C= Show program on Saturday February 17th is (as always?) special. MorphOS: BitTorrent client BeeHive 0.1
Hannu Komsa released a first beta version of the BitTorrent client BeeHive for MorphOS (screenshot). To be accurate it's the MUI interface, the source code for the client itself comes from Dennis Holmes' Enhanced CTorrent.

AmigaOS 4: Musepack plugin for TuneNet
Curtis Holborn ported a decoder library for the Musepack format (.mpc) to AmigaOS 4 and released a plugin for the audio player TuneNet that is based on this library.
