MorphOS: Tutorial for mounting ADF-files (Polish)
Under the title link Grzegorz 'krashan' Kraszewski has published an illustrated tutorial for mounting Amiga-disk-images (ADF-files) under MorphOS. This is available in Polish but the automated translation into English is easily legible.

AROS: Icaros Desktop 1.4.3
For his AROS-distribution Icaros Desktop, Paolo Besser has published a minor update which fixes problems with the developers programs and aditionally installs new system files.
The WildMidi.library, the MP3-player and LoView were updated as well. Please note that - if you use the light version of the distribution and have limited memory space - that with this update about 120 MB of developer software will be installed.

AmigaOS 4: AmiUpdate SDK server temporarily offline
AmiUpdate is a simple package manager which informs the user about updates of installed applications. The server hosting the central AmiUpdate database for SDK users is temporarily offline.

Web-Browser NetSurf 2.9
After the release for AmigaOS 4 version 2.9 of the fast browser NetSurf now is also available for AmigaOS 3.x thanks to Artur Jarosik.
You can now save websites as PNG graphic files and new search engines were added.

Event: AmiWest 2012 will last one day longer (18.-21. October, Sacramento)
This year the AmiWest will last four days: The first two days of the annual Amiga meeting in Sacramento will be about Amiga software. Further details are still not known - but it will be discussed that there are only few applications for AmigaOS 4.

MorphOS: MPlayer 1.0 (2012.04.18) updated
Fabien 'Fab' Coeurjoly has updated his version 1.0 (2012.04.18) of his MorphOS-port of MPlayer. He wrote:
"I just reuploaded it to fix a ffmpeg bug : it was inconditionally using altivec in sample format conversion routine. It prevented mplayer from working on non-altivec machines when the routine was used."

MorphOS: NTFS-3G-Dateisystem R3
Leif Salomonsson has updated the NTFS-3G-driver for the MorphOS-implementation of the FUSE-frameworks, Filesysbox. Version 3 now also supports partition sizes bigger than 1 TiB and more. Additionally a bug was fixed which caused a crash if a NTFS-disk was inserted before the OS was booted.

AROS: 68k-Distribution AROS Vision 1.3
Olaf Schönweiß has updated his AROS/68k-distribution. It is a mix of AROS and AmigaOS software (video, tutorial). In version 1.3 among others DOpus4 and Frying Pan were added.
The next steps will concern the sections Internet and emulators (version 1.4) as well as in the final version (1.5) Samba/network, demos, additional tools and improvements.

PPC-Hardware: Status update for UltimatePPC

AmigaOS 4: glUAE 20120616
glUAE is a collection of scripts which "makes the emulation experience perfectly natural by transparently integrating the emulator into the system, thanks to the AmigaOS flexibility and the UAE configurability."
Changes:
- Added direct WHDLoad support
- Allowed to indicate an alternative UAE executable on a per-application basis
- Allowed to choose at startup:
- The boot file, if no startup-sequence is found
- A hardfile, if more than 1 is found
- A UAE configuration, if none is found
- The UAE executable, if the default/application-specific one is not found
- Reworked the images mounting: when a specific image is specified for DF0:, the next 1, 2 or 3 images in the same directory are mounted to DF1:-DF3: in alphabetical order. (before DF1:-DF3: would get the first other 3 images in absolute)
- Made the determination of the application form depend first of all on the input file type
- Given the user more feedback in case of errors
- Renamed the "first-run" splash screen as "first-launch"
- Replaced the installer with a brand-new, AmigaOS-standard
installer/reinstaller/uninstaller
- Made several internal improvements
- Extended/reworked the documentation
