European Federation of Game Archives, Museums and Preservation Projects founded
A lot of European initiatives for archiving software and computer games, e.g. the Software Preservation Society - originally called "Classic Amiga Preservation Society" (CAPS) - have founded an umbrella association which is called "European Federation of Game Archives, Museums and Preservation Projects" (EFGAMP).
Task of the EFGAMP will be supposed to be the improvement of the technical and regulatory framework for archiving interactive digital contents. Those tasks are to be achieved by lobbying as well as networking and exchanging knowledge with other projects.
