Unter dem Titellink gibt Amiga Inc. eine Zusammenarbeit mit der US-amerikanischen National Hockey League (NHL) bekannt. Diese Vereinbarung sieht vor, dass Amiga Inc. Software mit dem Markenzeichen der NHL erstellen und unter dem URL nhl.shopamiga.com über den AmigaAnywhere™-Webshop vertreiben wird. (snx)

Aminet: Täglicher Newsletter, HTTP-Upload
Das Aminet bietet ab sofort wieder einen täglichen Newsletter: Wer sich per Mail an aminet-daily-subscribe@aminet.net in die Verteilerliste einträgt, bekommt jeden Tag eine Liste mit den neuen Uploads per E-Mail zugeschickt.
Außerdem steht jetzt ein Web-Interface zur Verfügung, das alternativ zum traditionellen FTP-Zugang für den Upload ins Aminet genutzt werden kann.

Unter dem Titellink finden Sie eine kleine Präsentation zum Spiel Blackshoot Deluxe für AmigaOS 3/4, die der Betatester Martin 'McFly' Cornelius erstellt hat.
Unterdessen schreiten die Arbeiten an Blackshoot Deluxe gut voran - neu in der Featureliste sind verschiedene Waffentypen und Sterbensarten. Und neben verstecktem Bonusmaterial soll statt blossem Ballern nach Entwicklerangaben auch etwas Hirnschmalz gefordert werden. (snx)

MorphOS: Modifizierte Quake-Versionen
Michal 'kiero' Wozniak hat auf Basis der Portierung von Frank Wille GLQuake in drei Varianten für MorphOS bereitgestellt. Benötigt werden MorphOS 1.4 sowie geeignete 3D-Treiber.
- GLQuake ist eine Portierung des Originalspiels von ID Software
- BlitzQuake ist eine Version mit einigen Verbesserungen wie Farbblitzen, Skyboxes oder Glows (Screenshot 1, 2). Ursprünglich erstellt von Christial Michael, wurde diese Variante von Michal Wozniak fehlerbereinigt und weiter verbessert. Die Details können Sie der Readme-Datei entnehmen
- PanoramicQuake ist eine GLQuake-Modifikation von Wouter van Oortmerssen. Diese bietet ein Panorama-Rendering mit einem Gesichtsfeld von 180 Grad (Screenshot 1, 2)

AmigaOS 4: IRC-Klient Wookiechat 1.9
James Carrol hat eine neue Version seines MUI-basierten IRC-Clients WookieChat veröffentlicht. Änderungen seit der letzten Veröffentlichung:
- /invite command implemented
- Incoming Channel Invite messages are displayed properly now
- Sounds can be played to alert you to a new tab opening, or a highlight word appearing. It can be played always or just when the main window is inactive
- /list implemented, displays a sorted list of channels on the network in its own tab. Doubleclicking will join a channel.
- All displayed URL's are now saved in the URL Grabber window, and can be loaded in a browser by double clicking on it
- Channel Keyword support fixed up a little. It's now possible to change the keyword without toggling +k off first
- Choosing "Connect to Server" without first selecting an entry will no longer reaper
- Bugfix: "topic set by" messages no longer create an extra blank line in the logs
- Channel Keyword and Limit string gadgets are now updated when you join a channel

Browser: AWeb 3.5.07 Beta für AmigaOS 3 und 4 (Update)
Eine neue Beta-Version des Reaction-/Classact-basierten Browsers AWeb steht für AmigaOS 3 und 4 zur Verfügung. Änderungen seit der letzten Veröffentlichung:
- Various bugs in the leaked 3.5.06 version have been fixed
- A bug with nested tables having the height tag has been fixed
- A bug with the gzip decoding engine which would cause it to discard
non gzip encoded files has been fixed. Lha files download again....
- An extra choice for the new gadget layout options has been added giving a reduced number of options for a simpler design. This layout suits large gadget images / icons

TCP-Stack ezTCP 0.7
Der PPC-native TCP/IP-Stack ezTCP von Pavel 'Sonic' Fedin liegt inzwischen in der Alphaversion 0.7 vor. Änderungen:
- ixemul.library applications don't crash on Ctrl-C anymore
- Fixed small bug in hostname lookup (searching in aliases in hosts file was case sensitive)
- The next update will have socket events implemented; this will enable streaming with AmiNetRadio for example
Sollten Probleme mit ezTCP auftreten, empfiehlt sich ein kurzer Blick auf den offiziellen Thread auf morphzone.org. Der Autor gibt dort u.a. Hinweise, wie das Problem der einfrierenden Übertragungen zu beseitigen ist, unter dem einige Anwander zu leiden scheinen.

Die usergroup.library wird von ezTCP benötigt, um die Kompatibilität mit ixemul-basierten Programmen zu gewährleisten.
- Now creates a new library base per a process and holds all process-specific data there. This avoids memory trashing
- Uses intuition.library instead of timer.device - more clean code

Version 1.1 des Amiga-Emulators WinUAE bietet u.a. folgende Neuerungen:
Einige schwerwiegende Fehler, die mit WinUAE 1.0 eingeführt wurden, gehören er Vergangenheit an:
- Picasso96 graphics corruption after ALT-TAB
- Zipped Amiga Forever Kickstart ROM image decryption problem
- JIT FPU ACOS bug (incorrect result if argument was negative)
Ältere Fehler, die beseitigt wurden:
- More stable on the fly configuration loading
- In windowed mode Amiga window height was sometimes slightly
larger than requested size
- "the desktop is too small for the specified window size"-check
was not completely correct
- AHI recording mode memory leak
- Some Amiga monitor drivers work now properly (for example Euro36)
- Incorrect paths if WinUAE was run from networked drive
- Some custom chipset emulation bugs (Obliterator intro, Elfmania
scoreboard, Warp and others)
- Directory filesystem directory modification date bug if comment
or protection flags were modified
- Improved directory filesystem compatibility
- Rare disk emulation bug introduced in 0.9.90
- Action Replay statefile restore bug introduced in 0.9.90
- OCS/ECS color translation to native colors fixed. (this was bug
since the beginning of UAE..) Colors are now slightly brighter.
No effect on AGA-mode colors.

- Configurable Catweasel joystick support, MK4 mouse support added
(NOTE: Right and middle mouse button may not work with all mice,
requires Catweasel driver/firmware update)
- MMKeyboard support added
- Transparent "drive led status bar"

- More missing keycodes added to input-panel
- Copper debugger: tracing, single step and breakpoint
- Disk swapper: right button doubleclick in "Disk image"-column:
removes disk in disk swapper panel. right button singleclick in
"Drive"-column: remove disk in drive
- New-style ROM config entries
- Compressed hardfiles supported (limitations: max 100MB, all written
data will be lost after reset or exit, hardfile file name extension
must be either hdz, zip, rar or 7z)
- Hardfile drag&drop to harddisk-panel

Soundplayer: PlayOGG 3.1
Bei PlayOGG handelt es sich um einen Soundplayer für die Formate OGG Vorbis, MP3, MPEG, FLAC, VOB, AC3, RA und SID sowie weitere Modul- und Soundformate.
Version 3.1 beseitigt zahlreiche Fehler, beherrscht weitere CLI-Parameter und kann Wildcards jetzt alphabetisch sortieren. Außerdem gibt es zahlreiche weitere kleine Verbesserungen sowie eine überarbeitete Dokumentation. (cg)
