GCC-Makro: API_MUI 1.8
API_MUI von Marian Guc ist ein Makro für den Compiler GCC, welches die Erstellung von MUI-Programmen erleichtert. Das Makro funktioniert mit AmigaOS 3/4, MorphOS und AROS.

MorphOS: Profiler PrfLib 0.10
Marcin 'Morgoth' Kureks PrfLib ist eine Bibliothek, die statistische Angaben zu einem laufenden Programm liefert, um festzustellen, welcher Teil wieviel Prozessorzeit in Anspruch nimmt.
Da hierfür ein "Trick" des GCC ausgenutzt wird, funktioniert die Profiler-Bibliothek allerdings nur bei Programmen, die mit diesem kompiliert wurden (Version 2.95.3 oder 2.95.4).
In der neuesten Version von PrfLib wurden einige kleinere Fehler beseitigt.

WHDLoad: Neue Pakete bis 03.07.2006
Mit WHDLoad lassen sich Spiele und Szene-Demos, die nur für den Diskettenbetrieb gedacht waren, auf einer Festplatte installieren. Außerdem werden zahlreiche Inkompatibilitäten mit neueren Amiga-Modellen beseitigt.

AmigaOS 4: Update der X11-Portierung Cygnix
Edgar Schwan hat ein Update von Cygnix veröffentlicht, einer Portierung des X11-Servers auf AmigaOS 4. Die Neuerungen:
- Native Version des X-Servers
- Verschiedene Bonus-Programme:
- Der VNC-Viewer und zwei Tools aus dem VNC-Paket von RealVNC: vncviewer, vncconnect und vncpasswd
- pixmap: Ein Editor für XPM-Grafiken
- Bugfix des Programms XGalaga 2.0
- Neues Startup-Skript. Behebt z.B. ein Problem im Zusammenhang mit AmiPDF
Das Update setzt eine bestehende Installation des Komplett-Archivs von Cygnix voraus. (cg)

AmiTown: Webseite rund um Amiga Forever und WinUAE
Unter dem Titellink hat Ulli Reinders eine Webseite rund um Amiga Forever und somit WinUAE unter dem Namen "Amitown" eingerichtet.
Dort stellt er das Emulatorpaket Amiga Forever als solches kurz vor,
zeigt Screenshots seiner installierten AmigaOS-Versionen 1.3, 2.1, 3.1, 3.5
und 3.9, verrät, welche Applikationen unter AmigaOS 3.1 und höher
lauffähig sind, bietet Hintergrundbilder sowie einige Programme zum Download an und veröffentlicht Tipps und Tricks zum Nachlesen.
Die Webpräsenz Amitown wurde so gestaltet, dass sie auch mit einem
Webbrowser wie AWeb II so gut wie fehlerfrei angezeigt werden kann.
Sinn dieser Präsenz ist es, Besitzern und Fans des klassischen Amiga
die Möglichkeiten des Amiga-Emulators WinUAE in Sachen Gestaltung und
Ausführung aufzuzeigen und ggf. auch Anregungen zu unterbreiten. (snx)

Brennprogramm: Frying Pan 0.41
Tomasz Wiszkowski hat die Version 0.41 seines CD- und DVD-Brennprogramms Frying Pan veröffentlicht. Neben Fehlerbereinigungen insbesondere an der grafischen Benutzerschnittstelle wurde unter anderem die Erkennung von MP3-Dateien verbessert.
Die Neuerungen im einzelnen:
- Content page progress bar displays proper values now
- Progress bars start from valid positions when appending already written disc
- Overall progress bar displays valid information when burning multiple tracks in TAO
- Install script utilizes xad/lha/lzx whichever is found first
- In_MP3.module has been updated and features checking (accepts only MPEG1 LAYER3 44kHz Stereo)
- Multiselection of data/audio tracks is now allowed; filetype for multiple tracks can be changed at once, multiple tracks can be removed in a single click, et cetera
- Removed scroll bar from settings and hardware settings panels
- Write method is now recorded
- Empty ISO images are ignored from now on
- Added text object displaying amount of data to be written to disc
- Write speeds are properly remembered now
Frying Pan benötigt MUI samt der Klassen NList, NListview und NListtree.mcc sowie AHI. Auf der zugehörigen Webseite findet sich zudem eine Auflistung erfolgreich getesteter Laufwerke.

MorphOS: Vektor-Grafikprogramm SteamDraw 0.6R3 (Update)
In der neuen Version 0.6R2 des 2D-Vektor-Grafikprogramms SteamDraw wurden rund 15 Fehler beseitigt.

Inzwischen steht Version 0.6R3 zur Verfügung:
- Nach dem Kopieren&Einfügen hatten beide Objekte die gleiche Füllstruktur, wenn man also bei einem die Farbe änderte folgte das andere
- Die Objektliste wurde nach "Cut" nicht automatisch angepasst
