Puzzle game: "Symbol-Rechnen" for all Amiga systems
"Symbol-Rechnen" simulates the arithmetical problem where each figure is encrypted by a certain symbol. The computer generates new tasks every time - which have to be solved so all additions and subtractions or multiplications and divisions (Vers 2.1) fit in horizontal and perpendicular lines.

Achim Kern has ported an older puzzle game with Hollywood and offers versions for AmigaOS 3/4, MorphOS, AROS and Windows. The next port will be the puzzle and action game CrossCrabTris. (cg) (Translation: dr)

Amiga Inc. lost several US-trademarks
Recently Amiga Inc. had had six registered trademarks in the United States. For five of these trademarks the company would have proved a commercial use until August. This did not happen. Therefore the "US Patent and Trademark Office" deleted the following registration of the trademarks:
  • AMIGA - Standard Character Mark
  • AMIGA - Drawing/Design + Words
  • AMIGA ANYWHERE - Standard Character Mark
  • AMIGA ENABLED - Standard Character Mark
  • BoingBall [image] - Drawing/Design (No Words)

The last registered trademark of Amiga Inc. is AMIGA.

Amiga owns several trademarks in the EU. A complete list can be found on Amiga-Trademarks.pdf. (cg) (Translation: dr)

Programming language: Hollywood creates iPad-applications
Press release: Hollywood has recently been ported to the iPad (ARM architecture) by order of a commercial customer who needs to use it on tablet devices in clinics and hotels. A small demo video of Hollywood running on iPad has been uploaded to YouTube.

Unfortunately, it will most likely not be possible to integrate iPad support into Hollywood's cross-compiler because of several technical and legal restrictions that iPad apps are subject to. For commercial customers, however, we can now offer several solutions to get their Hollywood projects converted into iPad apps. Please contact us. (cg) (Translation: dr)
