BBS: System-X v1.08 beta3
On October 13th, version 1.08 beta 3 of the BBS software System-X has been released. Conference passwords should be functional in this version.

System-X is a freeware BBS software for the Amiga, just like old AmiExpress.
System-X is in many things compatible to AmiExpress, and aside from the door ports for XIM/AIM also supports CLI/STDIO, DayDream and DayDreamRexx doors, MAXS, and an experimental Famedoorport.
Peter Zelesny, currently programmer of XChat for Linux, started the project 1996, which is today continued by Michael Clasen and Eric Beragg. (ps)

AmigaAMP v2.7b8 released
Thomas Wenzel writes:
I just released the new beta version v2.7b7 of AmigaAMP on my homepage. Because of the persistent troubles with the datatypes I now try to work around this with the guigfx.library. If this should lead to more troubles instead of less troubles, this can be switched of with the NOGUIGFX tool type. The guigfx.library however contains several workarounds for errors in the datatypes, so it should run better. (ps)

Silversurfer 2.101 and howto
Jens Schönfeld writes:
Changes from 2.99 to 2.101: Silversurfer and Catweasel MK2 can be used on the same clock port. This however requires some modifications to the Silversurfer - better directly order a readily modified Silversurfer from your dealer.
Second change: the limited edition of the Silversurfer is recognized on the MK2, without modification! The Catweasel MK2 also has a 26pin expansion port, which I did not really make use of so far - the limited edition is the first product to run on it.

"howto"-area
On my website, at "support", I added a "howto" area. Here I am posting tips and manuals about my products. For starters, I posted how to install a hard drive with TD64, since I keep recieving e-mails about it. In the future, I will answer questions I recieve by e-mail in readable text and post it here, to create an archive that (hopefully) answers all problems, even when I am not answering e-mails for some days. (ps)
