`13.Aug.2001` Mariusz Wloczysiak (E-Mail)	Elbox und Hyperion: Lizenzvertrag für Warp3D Voodoo3-Treiber abgeschlossen Elbox Computer und Hyperion Entertainment geben bekannt, dass sie eine Lizenzvereinbarung getroffen haben. Hyperion wird mit seinen Warp3D Voodoo3-Treibern (68k und PPC) folgende Karten unterstützen: Mediator PCI 1200, Mediator PCI ZIV, Mediator PCI 4000 und die Mediator PCI ZIII Busboards. Die Warp3D Voodoo3-Treiber werden für registrierte Mediator-User direkt bei Elbox erhältlich sein. Zunächst werden die Treiber für Mediator PCI 1200 und Mediator PCI ZIV Busboards erstellt und voraussichtlich in drei Wochen fertig sein. `13.Aug.2001` Individual Computers	Controller: Auslieferung von "CLeo" verzögert sich Cleo ist ein Controller, der mit der Technologie, die aus dem Catweasel abgeleitet wurde, Amiga-Disketten sowie eine große Anzahl weiterer Diskettenformate lesen und schreiben kann. Merlancia Industries hat das Gerät von Individual Computers lizenziert, um es unter dem Namen dem "CLeo" als Nachrüstsatz für Tsunami Entwicklergeräte und andere Pegasos-basierte Computer zu nutzen. `10.Aug.2001` Amiga Inc.	Amiga Inc.: Merlancia kauft Amiga Walker und MCC Designs Merlancia Industries is pleased to announce the purchase of the legendary Amiga Walker and MCC designs. The Walker and MCC designs (created by Frogdesign and Pentagram respectively) are now owned exclusively by Merlancia Industries. These designs will be implemented in Merlancia's MMC/Torro line of multimedia PowerPC products. The Walker case, designed in 1995-6 by Frogdesign for Escom AG will be implemented in a Space Conservative Desktop unit; expressly useful for offices and cramped desks. The Walker design, currently Merlancia Radian, will feature a PowerPC G3 or G4 (750 and 7410 resp.) processor with an advanced graphics chipset and will be targeted for sale around the $1500 to $2000 price point. The MCC case, designed in 1999 by Pentagram was planned as Amiga's Multimedia Convergence Console. Merlancia will be implementing this design for its Apocalypse DT and ST series systems, based on the PowerPC 7xx and 8xxx series processors. The MCC design will be implemented in set top box and low cost desktop packages based on the X-Casting Broadband Video delivery method next year for prices ranging between $699 and $1299. Dr. Ryan E. `09.Aug.2001` The Register	The Register: Gateway pulls out of UK and Ireland Wie bereits mehrfach berichtet, hat Gateway, der amerikanische PC-Hersteller, der AMIGA 1997 gekauft und Ende 1999 wieder verkauft hat, dieses Jahr mit tiefroten Zahlen zu kämpfen. Nach der Schließung von 27 US-Stores und der Ankündigung der Schließung der deutschen Niederlassung wurde nun auch die Schließung des europäischen Hauptquartiers in Dublin sowie der englischen Niederlassung bestätigt.
