It's possible to do this with a Amiga or PC. New Programmers are expensive, see http://www.reichelt.de ChipMax 348,00 Euro. Maybe you can build one yourself. If you wan't to make it with an Amiga you should look first whitch Burners are supported. You can Look at Aminet. If you have more Problems with Amiga and don't like German, you can look at http://www.amiga.org. They speak all English. [ - Antworten - Zitieren - Direktlink - ] |

First of all clarify this: - What do you want those EPROM for? - What size are you going to use (i.e. how big is the image that you have)? Depending on that you may choose an appropriate model. I thought there was some EPROMmer software on Aminet, isn't it? Then there should be a list in there what programmers it supports, then go and fetch one of these. EPROM programmers should be available at every serious electronics merchant, be it on the web or in your city. Usually they come bundled with some Windows Software. -- Es gibt keine Notbremse für all den technischen Humbug, mit dem wir unsere Zeit vertrödeln. [ - Antworten - Zitieren - Direktlink - ] |

I think there is no need for backing up the kickstart roms. ![]() And the really big problem is to find the right eeproms for that... -- cu, aPEX ![]() Bild: http://www.a1k.org/bilderlink/a1000_lorbeer.gif A1000 Phoenix Revival Project ![]() [ - Antworten - Zitieren - Direktlink - ] |

Hi Lopos, it is less effort to buy a new ROM set on ebay than trying to get the propper ROMs which are very rare AND a propper eprom burner. Most of the burners are only able to use chips up to 32pins but you do require one with 40pins which makes it more expensive. I got a propper burner but I'm searching for a cheap source of eproms. Besides that, I think the eprom mentioned ahead is wrong. Besides that, from where to where do you want to pug the ROMs? You should keep in mind that you generally can't swap roms between different Amiga models. Ciao GMB ![]() ![]() [ - Antworten - Zitieren - Direktlink - ] |

@GMB I've an Amiga 1200 and an Amiga 4000D. I just want to back up my ROMS so I have a spare one in case something goes wrong. There is no problem getting the Kickstart ROMS but there very expensive to buy here In England. Lopos [ - Antworten - Zitieren - Direktlink - ] |
