IRC-Klient: WookieChat 2.6b9 für alle Amiga-Systeme

AmigaOS 4: Betatester für MT-Rechnung gesucht
APC&TCP sucht Betatester für eine AmigaOS 4-Version von MT-Rechnung.
APC&TCP weist jedoch darauf hin, dass man keinen Support für das Programm leisten werde. Interessenten an einer Mithilfe wenden sich bitte per E-Mail mit dem Betreff MTR an Andreas Magerl.
MT-Rechnung ist ein Programm zur Verwaltung von Kunden, Artikeln und Rechnungen. Zudem druckt es Rechnungen, Mahnungen, Etiketten, Umschläge, Zahlscheine und Paketkarten sowie Kunden-, Artikel- und Rechnungsübersichten. Berücksichtigt werden hierbei die Regeln der Deutschen Post für maschinenlesbare Kuverts. (snx)

Neue Hardware von ACK Software Controls und Amiga Inc. angekündigt
Unter dem Titellink kündigt Amiga Inc. an, dass zwei neue Hardware-Designs für das Amiga Operating System bei ACK Software Controls in Entwicklung seien.
Das Einstiegsmodell für Endanwender soll hierbei einen angestrebten Preis von 500 US-Dollar aufweisen, während das zweite für höhere Leistung ausgelegt ist und das Dreifache kosten werde. Beide Systeme basieren auf dem PowerPC. Nähere Informationen, u.a. zum Zeitplan, sollen kommende Woche folgen.

Two New Hardware Designs for the Amiga Operating System are on their way
Press release Issaquah, Wash and Fonthill, ON – April 22, – After months of designs and negotiations Amiga, Inc. and ACK Software Controls, Inc. are pleased to announce that new hardware is on its way for Amiga users.
"I have been working on these designs with Amiga for almost 12 months and have been able to create two new designs that will fully support the needs and desires of today’s Amiga user, while opening the doors for new users", said Adam Kowalczyk President of ACK Software Controls, Inc.
Initially, two systems will be produced that address two different market needs. The first is a consumer entry design that will offer a complete product with a target price point of $500.00, while the second will be of a power design that would have a target price point of $ 1,500.00. The PowerPC architecture will continue to be the architecture of choice for these new systems.
"ACK and Amiga have spent many months working on designs and working with various manufacturers to create great products with a competitive price point. We will be working with the Amiga retailers over the coming weeks to solidify launch and support plans", said Bill McEwen of Amiga, Inc.
Manufacturing and final price information along with product launch schedules will be following in the next week.

Fred Fish verstorben
Am vergangenen Freitag, dem 20. April 2007, verstarb mit Fred Fish der Schöpfer der bekannten "Fish-Disks".
Neben seiner Arbeit am GNU-Debugger war es insbesondere diese Sammlung von Public Domain-Software, die ihn im Amiga-Bereich bekannt machte. Mit den rund eintausend von Fred Fish zusammengestellten Disketten, offiziell als "AmigaLibDisks" bezeichnet, trug er wesentlich zur Verbreitung kostenloser Software bei. (snx)

Neuer Patch für Desert Racing erschienen
Pressemitteilung: Seit kurzem ist ein neuer Patch für Desert Racing online. Das Spiel sollte schneller laufen und wir hoffen, dass verschiedene Probleme beseitigt werden konnten.
Der 3. Desert Racing Patch für die Demoversion kann direkt von der Support-Page geladen werden. Der Patch für die Vollversion ist nur direkt (da personalisiert) per eMail bei Andreas@apc-tcp.de erhältlich. (cg)
