FTPMount version 1.4 by Rudolph Riedel
Rudolph Riedel wrote:
As the Aminet unfortunately seems to be down, at least uploads aren't sorted anymore, I have uploaded right now a new version of FTPMount to my homepage.

Download: FTPMount.lha

A download link isn't available on the site but it should be direct accessable. Well, what has changed? This can of course be read in the "FTPMount.readme".

The archive is very similar to the v1.31 by Martin R. Elsner on the Aminet, I had unpacked it and done my changes. The main thing is that I've done a new compile, made some changes, set the version to 1.4, added a 68040 version and the complete source code is now also included.

In case that anybody has a bug report - just send it to me! (ps) (Translation: wk)

ProStationAudio for MorphOS
A short while ago Bill Buck, CEO of Genesi S.a.r.l., made known in comments in several news forums and media viewpoints that the finished version of MorphOS would be bundled with a full version of the professional Audio-Sequencer ProStationAudio. PSA's publisher AudioLabs has put a FAQ on their website about this matter, which will confirm this and clarify further details. (nba) (Translation: dm)

Death of a German ScummVM Programmer
Sebastian Beloch quotes the website of the software project ScummVM: Last Friday, March 14th, our fellow ScummVM developer and friend, Felix Jakschitsch (known to many under his nickname yot), committed suicide at the young age of 19.

We are completely shocked by this, and do not know or understand what drove him into this. It is a sorrowful world in which a cheerful, intelligent and helpful man is put in a situation in which he sees no other way to escape than taking his own life. We are sad to lose our valued friend. He contributed important work to ScummVM, including much of the Zak256 support. His loss is felt deeply by all of us, and we extend our condolence to his family and close friends, whose grief we share. If you want to leave a message to his friends and family, there is a guestbook available.

Also here is a news paper article telling more details (use babelfish if you don't speak German).

Felix, we miss you and will never forget you. (nba) (Translation: dm)
