`03.Oct.2002` Mirko Naumann (E-Mail)	Hot: Hard-Drives: Can You Fit Any More on There? The 200 gigabyte Western Digital hard-drive codenamed Drivezilla, originally scheduled for August, has finally been released. The model WD2000BB comes with 2 MB cache, and the WD2000JB with 8 MB cache. Each has three platters, 6 heads, spins at 7200 RPM and uses the UDMA-100 interface. You'll find the complete article under the title link. Note: At this time there is no possibility with the Acard IDE-to-SCSI adapter (under firmware version 3.64) to make use of the entire hard-drive capacity, because these new drives use a trick to overcome the 137 UDMA-100 limit. The same thing goes for the new drives from Maxtor UDMA-133 hard-drives which exceed 160 gigabytes. Acard adapters below firmware version 3.60 have a corresponding version sticker on the controller chip. `30.Sep.2002` Alexander Johannes (E-Mail)	Game: Tales of Tamar - Final-CD-Version Tales of Tamar is an Internet and round based game for Amiga, Atari, Mac, Linux and PC by Eternity Entertainment Software. Further details and meaningful screenshots can be found at the titlelink. The final CD version is finished. As the newest feature it is to be registered that the computer races are now able to move on the map and by doing this become recognizable. Furthermore now the numbers of inhabitants of the cities are determined on the basis of the built buildings and are not evaluated any longer simply after the individual city stages. In the last months again approx. 50 - 100 smaller bugs were removed. Sometimes one may not believe it, how many are hidden in such a game. As one of the next features the map screen is extended by a second menu. On this an overview of the map is to be seen, a branch table for the own figures and a wind rose with the possibility to scroll in each direction.
