Amiga Arena: Interview with Richard Smedley (UltraAccounts)
Amiga Arena - Interview
Richard Smedley, developer of the homebanking software UltraAccounts, just released an update that enables the usage of the Euro with UltraAccounts. UltraAccounts is shareware, the first version was available 9 years ago. The English version of the interview is available here.

Olaf Köbnik: "This interview once again turns out how much important feedback is for the developers. Whether or not development of "UltraAccounts" will be continued in the future depends on if there are users interested in this. It would be more than a pitty, if another developer would stop development due to lack of feedback!"

Note of own concern:
Dear Amiga friends! "Amiga Arena" might stop its service in the foreseeable future. The first measures will not be taken before easter.

Amiga Arena: Question for Digital Dreams Entertainment
Amiga Arena asked Digital Dreams Entertainment if they are still developing for the Amiga. Digital Dreams Entertainment released "Wasted Dreams" (1999) one of the best action adventure games of the last years.

The original answer:
Unfortunately we had to cancel all our Amiga only projects. We are now working on several new projects, from support parts for 3D animators (in 3dsMax, Lightwave or Maya) to children games for PC and Console.

Kind Regards,
Thomas
Digital Dreams Entertainment

Game: Graphic designers wanted for Ermentrud
The website of the game Ermentrud has been updated . It now shows first images of the adventures as they appear in the game. At the same time it becomes obvious that the game is in the process of being developed since the Inga engine has finally reached the beta version 1.0 (not yet published).

Ermentrud requires a lot of graphic design and some graphic designers are still needed for the background images.

These images are supposed to be scanned pencil drawings which are coloured in by the computer. The following skills are required:
  • Being able to draw very well, according to the style of the example image.
  • Opportunity to scan (with good quality).
  • Not necessary but desirable: being able to colour in images, according to the style of the second example image.
The payment is based on profit share after the game has been published. Unfortunately Inutilis can't afford a pre-payment since the whole project is more or less a spare time activity.

Please mail your applications including drawings to Timo@inutilis.de. (sd) (Translation: sr)
