Event: PUSH 2007.1 (Gothenburg)
Press release The number one alternative computer event in west of Sweden, PUSH, will be held this year in June. The doors will open Friday 15th June at 20:00 and we go on until Sunday 17th at 15:00.

The party is open to everyone running alternative operating systems. The PUSH building is a Windows Free Zone.

The news for this year is that we lower the entrance fee, instead of going with the inflation. The new fee is 140 SEK for pre-registered attendees and 240 SEK if you show up unregistered.

We will be at the same place as previous years - at Wartagården in Gothenburg. More information and driving directions are available on the PUSH website.

If you are interested in visiting PUSH we would like you to pre-register at the PUSH website. The registration is not binding at all. If you don't come we won't charge you a single öre. It is just to make it a little easier for us to know how many visitors we must prepare for.

More information will follow closer to the event, but if you have any questions, don't hesitate to drop us an e-mail. (snx)

Oldschool Demoscene and game party in Lübeck (25th-28th May)
Press release: This year the successful demo scene and gaming event "Maximum Overdose" goes into its eigth round in Lübeck during the Whitsun holidays(25th-28th May). Whoever missed the Breakpoint because living too far away shouldn't miss the MO8, since the Amiga and C64 competition will be shown again there.

The entrance fee is EUR 15 for Friday evening until Monday noon. A dormitory will be available (bring airbeds and earplugs against snorers).

Recent rumours claimed toe MO would be a pure C64 party. That is just wrong! The party is open to all alternative systems and Amigas are likely to be the second most popular system there. To even improve the Amiga share, you need to go there. Do what you like your Amiga for: Be creative and bring your productions (and your Amiga) to the party. Competitions will be held in the following categories:
  • Demo
  • Graphics
  • Music (MP3 remix, tracked)

Furthermore there will be the opportunity to play your favorite Amiga or C64 game on the big screen against other attendees at the gaming competition. Not enough there will be the "Datadisco" withthe best oldschool tunes and a live act. For the small appetite there will be a catering with free coffee and a big barbecue outside. 'Cause you know: The real party is outside! (cg) (Translation: ub)
