`16.Sep.2018` Finnish Amiga Users Group (ANF)	Event: Saku 2018 on September 22nd in Oulu (Finland) Press release: "Finnish Amiga Users Group holds its 11th Saku event in Oulu, Finland on Saturday, September 22nd. The event will feature many classic Amiga setups from Amiga 500 to Amiga 4000, FPGA computers like Minimig and MIST, and next generation systems from MorphOS machines to AmigaOne X5000. The Commodore Story documentary film will be shown on a big screen, and there will be a presentation about AmiKit X emulation package. One lucky visitor will also win a free copy of AmiKit X. There will be several game competitions to attend and the best players will be awarded. The latest Amiga Future magazines are available for reading, as well as older magazines from all decades. Admittance is free of charge and refreshments will be available. Saku 2018 will start at 14:00 on September 22nd at Oulun Tetra ground floor conference room at Mäkelininkatu 31. REV'n'GE compares and reviews games on vintage computers. Among others the latest issue includes articles about the Amiga games "Conquest of the Longbow", "Liverpool: The Computer Game", "MicroProse F1GP" and "Space-Pilot". `16.Sep.2018`	Web browser: NetSurf 3.8 (SDL version) About two weeks ago Artur Jarosik as released an update of his Amiga port of the web browser NetSurf. His port is based on SDL, only the preferences pane is based on MUI, and is not to be confused with the Chris Young's native, Reaction-based version. Notice of the editorial: The AGA version 3.8 does not run on the Amiga 1200 equippd with Blizzard-1230 accelerator board of our editor Daniel Reimann - it crashes with Guru-Meditation (80000008). According to the developer the M68060-compiler-switch he did use is not compatible with a 68030 processor with 68881-FPU. `15.Sep.2018` MorphZone (Webseite)	MorphOS: E-Mail client Iris, beta version 38 Jacek 'jacadcaps' Piszczek's "Iris" is supposed to become the standard mail program for MorphOS. It supports IMAP and can read and create HTML mails. The program requires MorphOS 3.10. You can give feedback to the author using the corresponding discussion on Morphzone. `12.Sep.2018`	Chip-RAM extension: ACE2 by Individual Computers For a few weeks Individual Computers has been offering "ACE2". This extension adds two Megabyte Chip-Ram to most of the OCS/ECS-Amiga. Because the board contains two components which are not available any more - the 2MB ECS-Agnus-Chip and a PLCC84 adapter socket - the producer has chosen a "progressive pricing model": The lower the availability of ACE2 the more the price increases. The first price was 120 Euro meanwhile it costs about 130 Euro. The maximum price will be 170 Euro. Hint of the editorial stuff: On the ACE2 a NTSC version of Agnus is used. This one can be switched between the PAL and NTSC mode but always starts in NTSC mode. Therefore this extension was mainly made for users with upgraded Amigas - while booting from disk under Kickstart 1.3 you cannot change the mode so easily. (cg) (Translation: dr) [News message: 12. `12.Sep.2018`	Connecting old joysticks to the PC: Arananet Joystick adapter The Spanish shop Arananet offers an adapter which connects a retro joystick to an USB port of a common PC. No additional drivers are needed because the adapter registers to the host PC as simple USB device. Autofire is supported (if your joysticks allow it).
