Hollywood manual online available Due to repeated requests of users, the manual of Hollywood 5.3 is available online again under the title link on the official Hollywood website. The manual is available in HTML and PDF format (the full version of Hollywood additionally includes CHM and AmigaGuide versions), but only in English. AROS: AEROS beta version 7 for Raspberry Pi (free version) Pascal Papara's beta version 7 of the Linux-based AROS-distribution AEROS for the Raspberry Pi now also is available as free version (screenshot). AmiKit: Version 1.7.0 available on bootable USB-stick AmiKit is a full distribution for users of UAE and now is available in version 1.7.0 on an USB-stick (8 GB). On x86-computers (except Macs) AmiKit can be booted - via Linux - from the stick. Additional to versions for Windows, Mac OS, Linux and real Amigas, there is also a version for Android (version 4.2+, ARM7- or x86-processor). The free download version will be released soon. MorphOS: Donation collecting for OpenSCAD-port Yannick 'Papiosaur' Buchy collects donations to provide Don Bright, who is a co-developer of OpenSCAD, a MorphOS computer with a licence for the operating system. Don Bright is going to port OpenSCAD. It is a 3D-compiler for CAD-objects. It creates 3D-models with scripts (Wikipedia). So far 60 Euro have been donated. (snx) (Translation: dr) [News message: 27. Amiga 600/1200: PCMCIA-SRAM-card can be preordered (Update) In the Polish webshop of RetroAmi you can preorder a PCMCIA-card with 4 MB Fast-RAM for the Amiga 600 and 1200. It is equipped with SRAM ICs with 55 ns access time. This is supposed to boost a standard Amiga - according to SysInfo - to 1,67 MIPS (screenshot). The card will be delivered at the end of August and costs about 50 Euro. Update: (17:45, 28.05.14, snx) Please note that the card is not buffered by a battery, thus any data stored in SRAM will be lost once the computer is turned off.
