AROS: Distribution AspireOS 1.2 Nikolaos Tomatsidis has published an update of his AROS-distribution AspireOS (screenshot). This is customized to the Acer-netbook Aspire but should run on every other hardware. The update requires an existing 1.x-installation. Amiga games now are started via AROS/68k instead of using AmigaOS Kickstart files. Additionally the music programm MilkyTracer, the BoingIconBar, Snapshoter, some games and many updated system files were added. Users of Samsung or Dell netbooks have to replace the hdaudio.config and the HDAudio-driver by the ones with the ending "dell". Please do the same with the file Sys:system/network/AROSTCP/S/Package-Startup if you are using a USB network stick. (snx) (Translation: dr) [News message: 24.
