AROS: Patch for Icaros Desktop 1.2.5
For his AROS-distribution Icaros Desktop 1.2.5, Paolo Besser has published a patch. It fixes a bug which occured when the live-version was installed from an USB-stick to the harddrive.

Additionally the patch adds a new Zune-theme as well as the dt2thumb-command by Yannick Erb which creates icons out of picture files (screenshot). (snx) (Translation: dr)

AmiKit: Engine-Update
For the emulation package AmiKit 1.5.x an update was published which updates WinUAE as well as further main parts. A detailed list of changes can be found under the title link.

SimpleCat 3.21
SimpleCat written by Guido Mersmann can create and manage catalogs and was published in version 3.21 for AmigaOS/68k, AmigaOS/PPC and MorphOS.

Changes in version 3.21:
  • Fixed Clipboard support
  • Build-system was prepared for MorphOS/SDK release
  • Many minor optimizations
  • Backward compatibility to NList deleted: there is no way back

Event: AmiWigilia in Poznan
In Poznan on 11th december the Amiga party AmiWigilia will take place. Among others an Amiga 2000/060 with AmigaOS 3.9, an Amiga 1200/PPC with AmigaOS 4, a Pegasos 2 with AmigaOS 4.1 as well as several bplan and Apple computers with MorphOS will be presented.

There will be also a competition where a PowerMac G4 with registered MorphOS 2.7 can be won, sponsored by Wiktor 'Pampers' Glowacki and the AmiParty-Team. (snx) (Translation: dr)

Complete systems: AresOne 2011 / The Red One X
The AROS-PC AresOne put together by Pascal Papara was updated. Mainly the new features of the AresOne 2011 are the memory (2 GB DDR3-RAM) as well as lower price.

The Swiss trader Relec offers a new complete system called The Red One X for the announced PowerPC-mainboard Sam460ex by ACube Systems which is still not available. The mainboard may be available on next Friday. (snx) (Translation: dr)
