Print magazine: Amiga Future 72 (May/June 2008)
Press release: Amiga Future 72 (May/June 2008) was released today. This means that all subscriptions, pre-orders and dealer supplies have been shipped. It's now up to the postal service when the Amiga Future gets delivered to you.

In this issue you can read up-to-date reviews on articles like DvPlayer, AmiKit, Word Me Up XXL, Goonies and much much more. Furthermore we have an interview with the makers of Tales of Tamar.

On the cover CD there is a lot of PD software and also some full versions like Nemac IV again. On top of that you will also find on the CD, the MP3 soundtrack for the game Tower Of Souls.

A more detailed list of the contents can be found at our website.

The Amiga Future is available as an English and German print magazine directly from the editorial office and some Amiga dealers (AmigaKit, ASB, GGs Data, Samuli, Vesalia...).

We are still on the lookout, URGENTLY for translators for the English edition of the Amiga Future. If you want to work with us and have a very (!) good knowledge of the English language please contact us at Andreas@amigafuture.de.

Cloanto: Amiga Explorer 2008
Amiga Explorer 2008 has been released. It includes new Software Director and support for Amiga Forever 2008. Traditionally, the release of the new Amiga Explorer as included in Amiga Forever precedes by a few days the launch of a new version of Amiga Forever itself. The update is free to all Amiga Explorer users.

The Amiga Explorer networking software makes it possible to access the resources of an Amiga computer from one or more Windows systems. Configuration is extremely simple and by default requires only a few mouse clicks on the Windows side. (snx)

Demo-scene: Old issue of "Lamer News"
The "Lamer News" was an ASCII-newsletter of the British Amiga-scene. The whole content was fictive. The interviews and news were all completely fakes.

Some of the old issues are now available at OldSkool UK (part 1, part 2). (cg) (Translation: dr)

AmigaOS 4: Origyn Web Browser 1.24
Jörg Strohmayer has published another update of his port of the Origyn Web Browser. Changes in version 1.24:
  • Changed default FONTXDPI to 80
  • Added cut, copy, paste and select all (<amiga><a>) support in editable fields. Text copied to/from the AmigaOS clipboard is/has to be in UTF-8, not the local charset. There are some other problems with it, for example the text selection is often displayed wrong and unselected text not completely unmarked
  • Selecting other texts works as well now, but you can't copy them
  • Disabled the workaround from 1.22 for the gfx errors as it slows down scrolling too much, you can redraw the page by pressing <amiga><r> instead now
  • Reduced the minumim step for scrolling with the scroll bars

OWB 1.24 is an update and requires the previous version 1.21 which is available on Aminet.

Carsten Siegner has created a graphical user-interface for the DVD-authoring program dvdauthor-0.6.14. With the program you can create and burn video-DVDs with menu.
